    @ countrygirl :(

    Myself, I have a Cat Scan today @ 2:30.
    I have to drink Readi-Cat 2 an hour before-Yum.
    Diverticulitus flaring up. No fun.

Other than that not too much going on. Just a tad of soreness and discomfort.

rf: Last night I told my wife I'm divorcing her and marrying a 19-year-old girl. She said she would mark it on her calendar.

Lunar! As I was getting on the old rf thread, I was formulating a post to ask where the hell you went to, and here you are!
I'm sorry, countrygirl. I lost my uncle too, on Christmas.

Fact - hospital waiting rooms are the most depressing and worrying place to be, and they do nothing to change that.

i failed to mention that the other day.,. I had to go to a funeral. seems our hardware store owner in town died. very nice guy too, always was helpful getting the parts you needed. could run a tab in his store. Think I owed him $13.00 for a few parts of dryer vents. I gave my mom a 20 told her to buy flowers and shit. dude really liked my mom lol,, I joked with her 'you should of slept with him, you might own a hardware store now".. he was a nice guy though.. Truly be missed.

i think funerals are a total waste of time, money and emotion

maybe they help some people but they sure dont help me..I prefer to just accept someone is dead ..remember them often and imagine their spirit is around rather than get together and hover around a useless body and pay thousands of dollars to people who are already rich

I prefer being sad in private

    Same here.

I'm sure they were lovely things to have around. Worse than that for me, if being able to hear the clock ticking.

I had to rush to see the hardware store guy, cause they only laid him out for 4hrs in this location ,, anymore, I dont see the funeral homes packed like I once did years ago, .. I can see this funeral home in the bottoms from my house. and the others I used to see the lots full of cars and dead people hanging out for 2days, now its twist tie city. people dont have the money for the dead anyways.....

Yeah, it makes a big difference if you know the person. The last three funerals I went to before this one were for my three grandparents and watching my family members go up in front and talk about them was pretty emotional, but it was mostly of a celebration of their life.

I don't want a funeral, I just want to be cremated. And I don't care what they do with my ashes as long as they don't flush me down the toilet...LOL :)

I don't want a funeral either. I was thinking about it the other day, and it's something that I don't see fitting for me at all. I am not religious, and if my friends and family want to celebrate my life then they can do it in a way that is more 'me', rather than something I really wouldn't like.
