I see what your saying, but actually the reverse would happen. When it's hot the molecules are moving faster and the relative volume increases and would make it read higher than when it's cold. I did have a VW that would read about 1/8 higher than actual when it was hot, >80F, consistantly. In that VW the needle would also move up and down when you stopped from the gas sloshing back and forth, this was a '71 or so VW bus.

You did say you were in a grumpy mood earlier didn't you?
Too much money to put into a car that only cost $1600 to start.
Thankyou for your professional opinion anyway.

I'm still having problems with the gas needle on my Bravada. Just last night it dropped from 1/4 tank to empty all of a sudden and I had to scramble to a gas station.

I'll do it for a quarter of that. It might not work when I'm done, though. Also it might not be done until summer...

Don't you ever rise before then? I love the feeling of a fresh morning, coffee and smoke in hand and a big load of sunshine that welcomes you into what will become a very productive few hours.

I am usually up by 7am, I cant sleep late. I don't know how people can smoke first thing though, would make me sick.

Lunar will have to change his sleeping pattens if he wants whisky with me :D
