I'm not a big fan of the Irish accent. It's quite grating.

I keep missing the thread closing these days

I was bored the other week with getting no post, so I ordered a load of things from free sample websites and I got some through this morning - Christmas has come early :D

It's one of my favourites. Although I am still annoyed that I can't say 'now' in a Northern Irish accent.

I have to admit, my hatred is based on these overly bubbly Irish women:

Zoe Salmond https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jcwqsy_4Nj0"]YouTube - Zoe Salmon at an open air swimming pool (what a tart she is...sorry, if it's cold wear a one peice, damn woman)
    Christine Bleakley
...and the worst: Nadine Coyle (from Girls aloud).

I also have to admit, I do like to say I.R.A in an Irish accent.

I know not all are as bad as those.

Isn't she from Blue Peter? They are usually pretty sensible, so thought she would have worn something different.

I saw an interview with Nadine Coyle a few weeks ago - didn't understand a word she said.

    "They" might be...seems she isn't.
I think things like that is what hastened her departure.

I think I might have seen the same one.
Did she sound like she had spent too long in America?

    :D

Oh, and they are very nice!

Woah, that's a lot of Northern Irish in one go!! I can understand Christine fairly well, but Nadine just confuses the life out of me.

We had a teacher at school from N. Ireland and some of his accent was hard to understand, but nothing like that. Perhaps I am too used to the Scottish accent.

It doesn't help that I don't like either women for totally different reasons other than their accents.
I'm probably being unfair to the Irish.
    But, yeah still slightly grating.
I rather like the Scottish accent. :)

I don't much like Nadine Coyle, don't know why though.

The Scottish accent is one of the best!

I won't go into my reasons.

Random fact - I do not like people telling me how to behave. I am having a conversation about sex in a relationship, and am being told that if my partner wants sex - I should give it to them regardless of if I want it or not.

    I think not.
