It was very good advice, if I do say so myself.

 

What I told her was:

Pray unceasingly to Shiva, the god of change, and wait for a sign.

 

Apparently everyone is stunned speechless at the brilliance of my advice.

One time, I went for a walk

 

The largest lake west of the mississipi used to be outside my California ,central valley hometown in the 1800s and early 1900s. It is farm land now and there are no more elk,deer ,antelope there. It was called Tulare Lake and at one point ,boats could get to San Francisco from below Fresno.

 

I grew up in the Central Valley, and I didn't even know about that lake until now. I looked it up to see where it was. Highway 99 goes right through the middle of it.

 

It's a beautiful sunny day here. I'm off out to work.

 

Yeah-if you look on a map of the old lake--in wet years it would come up to Lemoore (hometown)and clear out to where highway 5 is now. Now there are dams and it's all controlled. My gramma used to row to a town called Stratford 10-15-miles away from where she lived.

 

It would have been cool if they'd left the lake there. But of course, it's the most productive farmland in the US...one must have one's priorities, mustn't one?

 

I have dsl...my computer has built in wireless ...so the path is computer>>wireless router>>>modem>>>filter>>>phone line

one other computer is hardwired to the router but i dont use it

Okay...I've never actually created a wireless DSL network. So your computer stands alone with no wires to the Internet. You get Internet from the phone line - but it's not dialup, it's dsl, so the phone line is capable of higher speed transmission? What does the filter accomplish? And the modem and router are separate components?
