The trouble with procrastination is that there's always something to do before I can begin.....

i threw away all my trophy's from when i was a kid. 90% of them were bowling trophies and the rest were for track and field. at the time i guess i didnt need proof that i was a good athlete, but now that im older and out of shape its nice to have proof that i could move around when i was younger.
so anyway i just got a trophy for being on the championship team in the hockey league im in. this one will be sticking around for as long as i have a spot for it.

I'm with pen on this one. I had a cupboard STUFFED with trophies for boxing and martial arts...I was proud of them. Then one day I realised how crappy having prizes for hitting people really was and binned the lot. Maybe I'd grown up,maybe it was a whim-but either way,I've never regretted it...and I don't miss them. Guitars are MUCH more friendly.

[oh shit-Puggybear just made a sensible post! Sorry, peeps - normal service will now be resumed....]

Well somewhere in this house is every single award or trophy my son, me or my brother has ever won for anything.

I CAN'T GET OVER YOU DUDES FOR THROWING AWAY TROPHIES! OMG!!!

I don't care what it is or was for...at that time (and for all time, for that matter) it represents something you did well in. Goodnightalive.

After work somedays I would  to be able to come home and see an award I'd gotten for being able to hit people really well. lol :D

I can understand that Lynn. But I was a Royal Marine, with all that entails. So,trophies for being violent lost their appeal for me. JUST for me-I wouldn't expect anyone else to join in-or even understand.
But I do still have all the awards & certificates awarded for musical ability-THOSE,I'm proud of.

I kept hearing a thumping sound under the floor of my workshop. It ended up being 3 raccoons. A Mom and 2 babies.

The racoon that likes to come and eat the cat food on the back porch has been visiting again. He will look at me so pitiful when he stops at the door and looks back at me. lol

Then I see his 2" claws and I don't feel too sorry for him/her. It does look like he would locate some of these gardens near here and eat that fresh garden food.

My outside cats are pretty smart and I doubt they would want to tangle with the bandit. :)

At the back of my new place is a football and community pitch. It is looked after so well! Yesterday there were so many families having pic nics..it was a great site. Today, the work men are there spreading muck, and cutting back trees. Seems a strange thing to do.
