Random Facts...XLVI.

My son very VERY much likes to stick to a planned routine. He has been like that since he was 2 yrs old.

I'm pretty adaptable.

random fact: It has only been in the past 12 years or so that I've gone to funerals and visitations and such when I felt I should go. I look back and regret not going to several along the way...just because it was something I could avoid, I did. gad

 

My aunt and grandfather died a few months apart and my mother didnt want me to go to my aunts but wanted me to go to my grandfathers. I wonder if she thought i grew up enough in that short time.

 

according to my dad i'm going to hell.

its funny i accidentally emailed my dad a link to a youtube video 3 minutes long of noam chomsky who has been a professor at MIT for 50 years or something talking about how christianity was corrupted by the romans and my dads response was "yeah thats just that guy's opinion" ...fast forward a few months and we are learning the exact same thing verbatim in architecture cultures class i.e. roman, byzantine, and early christian architecture.

 

Its fun to argue religion but when someone insists thier way is the right way its not quite as much.

 

haha you're kidding me right? of course my dads way is the only way... jesus said so himself. he's the way the truth and the light no one gets to the father except through him. my dad told me to my face that gandhi and buddha are burning in hell

 

well they never did take in the lord and savior Jesus Christ. although just because they didnt say so publicly dosnt mean they didnt believe he was the one true savior privately. but......i dont see how buddha should deserve to burn in hell when he died long before christ ever could have been his savior.....well anyway it would be kind of sad that if you are automatically sent to hell if you were born prior to 1AD. really dosnt sound like the kind of god i read about or would want to be associated with.

 

oh so basically you too think that gandhi went to hell.. gotcha. you're not worth arguing with.

 

damn the one time i didnt think i was arguing and apparently i was...i dont know whos side im arguing for though. i will go with the gandi went to hell side. he was after all a smoker and was caught stealing so he did deserve hell i guess. although i guess i deserve hell if thats the worst thing i know about him. but i gave up smoking after the first ciggy. so yeah smokers go to hell and i dont.

It is disturbing... What's more disturbing is at least two of those products gave me the shits... I'm now blaming you.

People will have their faith in whatever god for their own reasons, and they should be allowed to do so without others trying to constantly shake that faith in what's usually nothing more than intellectual masturbation brought on by the angst of youth.

Everyone has to get through life in their own way. People should be let to believe in whatever makes life better for them. As long as they're not hurting others.
