a friend of mine has about a dozen corgis. it freaks me out whenever i go over there. all these identical tiny little dogs. they are pretty cool dogs though actually. i haven't seen him in a while. he's an excellent artist blacksmith and fabricator.

My husband is so awesome. He sent me flowers since he knows I'm feeling like shit because we're nearing the one year anniversary of my dad's death. He sent pink peonies since that was my dad's favorite flower. I can't wait until he gets home so I can hug him and tell him how much better that small gesture made me feel.

rf: I need fill out my mofo'ing self-assessment today. It's new and improved - i.e., longer and more egregious than ever before. Bottom line: They took an ace programmer - who needs to program like a junkie needs a fix - and tried to make an administrator. And then they wonder why my performance is mediocre all of a sudden. Well it must be my own fault...cuz it couldn't be theirs for failure to allocate manpower appropriately...after all, we're just interchangeable parts...plug us in, watch us go...

Oh yeah, I could go on and on. Shit, maybe I'll get a bottle of wine for tonight after all...

 

I really need to lose a few pounds. I have been doing 40 mins on the elliptical. I guess I need to work myself up to a little more each time I get on it. I so need to cut back on the cookies. I need to break this habit. Of eating the sweets my mom brings home to me. Will power I guess. The soup I make has 3 grams of fat in it, but allot of carbs in the noodles. I cut back on my fiber bar, I only have half once a day, and I did cut out the chicken in a biscuit and Doritos. Anyone ells trying to lose weight and working out?

 

The USS Constitution is turning around in Boston Harbor. It's 213 years old today - one of six ships ordered for construction by George Washington. It almost makes up for the egregious self-assessment.

 

I'm on the train home from work, and I have a headache I was wanting to do a lot this afternoon, but now i just want food and my bed.

My grandpa just called me. Well my grandmother is doing well. They are starting physical therapy with her today. He did say. He doesn't want me telling anyone what happened to my grandmother, meaning not a word to my dad or sisters. Hey that’s their call. I don’t want to get in the middle of anything. I’m keeping my mouth shut and staying out of it. Them letting me know what’s going on is fine I'm going to make some soup

Yeah, the bill part sucks... needles suck more though.

It's likely just a very sensitive tooth, but my mind seems to like convincing me that it's a death like situation.

I don't want to think about dentists tonight - it's a night in with Rhod Gilbert and wine. Then tomorrow I have to be a lady... I do like my dress though.
