Random Facts The "Worldwide Edition" XLV.

I just got a flight simulator for my pc. I got in a 747 and was up pretty high so I started messing around in the cockpit, flipping switches and turning dials, etc to see what they do.

All of a sudden there were alarms going off and then a loud crashing sound. I looked out the window and saw that I was on a mountain going through some trees.

I switched to exterior view and saw that my landing gear was down (whew) so I pulled up and got off the mountain safely, lol.

Fact: You cannot crash and burn in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

 

My new favorite late night tv show is "The Border". Is this an accurate portrayal of Canada?

 

is that the airport security?...i suppose it an accurate portrayal of canadian airport security and customs officers

i imagine they edit out most of the random tazering deaths though


edit:..and i think its mostly vancouver area airport so you have to keep in mind that vancouver (and most of BC in general) is like a magnet for weird people

 

It has to do with customs and immigration...

lol...the only time they are involved in airport security is when they are expecting a BAD hoodlum coming in the country via plane.

No tazering deaths (yet). Just shooting with gun deaths, also some bombs (planted by hoodlums) killing.

 

i watch it but i prefer the other show with the americans trying to slow down the mexicans sneaking in

 

What show is that BBAD? It sounds like some version of COPS.

rf: I went to a friend's wedding yesterday, they're a great couple who are definitely in :love:

I never have liked change very much. I think it may be getting worse as I get older though............lordy, I may just become one of those crotchety old bags soon.

 

Yesterday my 90 year old father and I went to see the movie The Butler. I am glad we went.

 

Several Ohio local school systems are starting classes today and many in the central part of the state are on a 2 hour delay because of fog.

What a way to start the year.

 

The fog is rather thick out your way... Sitting above it here, looking out over a sea of "white"...

 

we had thick fog last night too....going down the highway you just gotta kinda hope there isn't a family of deer on the road
