Wood rot... Also double pane windows in 1949 were just two pieces of glass... they didn't know about using argon gas to stop the condensation and the resulting cloudiness. Some of these were like frosted glass. It's just the build quality of then vs the quick to manufacture vinyl framed glass of today.

 

back then they were built. today its like hmmm.. lets take the idea of a door and figure out the cheapest fastest way to imitate it

How was everyone's summer? Mine was amazing. I went through a separation in the spring, then I rode across Canada on my motorcycle and then across the US on my way back. Then I moved in to a new house. Now im back to work this week.
Yeah!

P.s. Where is gizmo? i miss him.

 

still a week left in summer. maybe i will go to sunfest this year. beach boys are playing, i would have definitely gone but they sold out. but there are some other good free bands that are gonna be there so i still might go.

random facts....................busy turning my dining room and sunroom into a studio in anticipation of screenprinting press coming soon.....everything painted white to brighten it up in there......

took a razor to the 75 year old windows to get the paint etc off them.......they are those old led windows that are wavy when you look through them

the closet door has names and marks for all the various people throughout the years.....dates also....gotta be a hundred at least.i'm not painting that part of the door...its on the inside
