random facts the boring edition

i'd be more concerned with humans. bears won't come anywhere near you unless you're messing with them, or give them reason to think you are. bears aren't even there in most places.

pretty much the only thing that will go out of its way to mess with you is another human. of course if you do something really stupid, that messes with anything more then 1/3rd your own size, all bets are off.

there's just a hell of a lot more to be logically scared of on any city street, then anywhere out in the woods.

of course if some human really wanted to be sadistic, they could drag a bear into the city and release it in your room.

they'd have to be pretty determined to accept the risks to themselves of attempting to do so.

well i grew up in the woods and not in the city, so to each their own.

 

You are right for the most part, but their are rare cases... a guy was chomped sleeping in his tent a coupla years ago here. and sometimes they are just curious. ( have you seen my bear encounter vid?)
I grew up camping in bear country,. Statistically there's nothing to be paranoid about.
LOL, we used to hike to this high elevation pocket lake in Colorado rocky s, a place where they would dump problem grizzly bears incidentally, the kind they helicopter in, the ones they paint a big orange triangle on their chest designating that they have been tranq'ed numerous times and are very dangerous.. anyway we used to wrap up frozen steaks in foil and put them in our back packs so after hiking all day they would be thawed by the time we got there in the evening. Then we would roast them over a fire on a stick, all the while joking about the smell luring in one of those problem grizzlys.. never happened of course.

 

the real universe is the one that does not begin and end with human society.

shit I stepped into the pet store of the mall the other night and looked at all of the sad dogs in small crates with not even anything soft to lay down on ....only crate....some had given up and were just sleeping......out of depression sleeping...others just sat there looking so sad and sick....and a bigger one was pacing.....made me too sad. i had to leave. I wanted to set them all free and give them love.....
