I'm hearing thunder outside. I love the sound of it!! I must be related to Thor. /Probably a distant cousin or something.
EVERY night that I work I come home and sleep on a heating pad...for the back or sleeping sideways with it under my hip it helps sometimes with sciatica, if my body is really acting up. I'm a fairly hot-blooded person. WTH am I going to do when it gets summer?! In this house, with a window unit AND a fan blowing on me at night, it is just barely cool enough to sleep...eventually. What's up pens! '
just wondering why you dont get a small air conditioner and block off a small room, when the heat is too much. personally i just take a 30 second shower until i get overheated again.
See great minds work alike (and I'm talking you and me )...the window unit I spoke of is in a smaller room that I sleep in. Well, its the smallest room in the house aside from the bathroom. lol I may well try the get in a hot shower thing...the room will definitely be cooler after that. I don't sleep in my "original" bedroom anymore. The things (not of this 3-D world) tend to bother me when I sleep in there...and if you want to think I'm crazy, that's ok.
my job for the day was to fix the broken water pipe below the house. and to say its a crawlspace is being very generous. so i climb down under there cap it up and turn on the water...looks like it worked. but i still hear water somewhere. i go upstairs and walk everywhere and sure enough i hear water still moving. but its in the back room where no water goes to so im confused and have to go back under the house to make sure nothing is leaking there. threw down a few more cardboard boxes and crawled pretty much military style to the back of the house. i see the pipe making the noise but no leak...i crawl back out and up to the room where the pipe is and realize its the drain from the upstairs bathroom. i go upstairs and the bathtub was running. shut that off and check the house again. this time i hear a noise of water by the back door. litteraly at the door (its sealed off) i go outside and slightly bend the barrier closing up the (crawlspace....at this part of the house you cant even crawl under it.) i see water leaking but cant see the pipe its coming from. now im worried either i have to rip open the floor in front of the sealed door to get at it from above or i have to rip out and break the only thing stopping cats and other such animals from getting under the house. well were the leak is...there is only one thing that uses water and thats the water heater that i dont use. (the house was being fixed up as a two family but i live here alone) i have a 50/50 chance of not needing to dig up the floor. i shut off the valve on the waterheater hoping that the busted line is leaving the water heater. because if the line still didnt get to the heater that means its leaking before it gets to that close off valve......and i go turn the water back on and it worked. i have hot running water and dont need to go outside and turn the main line valve when i need to take a shower.
Well done..sounds like you had a great result... I hate the damage water does that you dont see till its too late. It gets in everywhere.
Tonight (Sunday) was great at work. It wasn't bad but busy enough not to notice the time go by. I'm elated I don't have to be in at 8am like I have other Mondays (or Wednesdays) when I've had to work until 11 or after the night before. :2thumbsup:
