I spent the weekend and the last two days working at home on my application development project. I get way more done at home than in the office. I come back to the office today and discover that while I was out all hell broke loose. That's why I like to work at home...

There are two women in Texas who use MS Access reports that I am "responsible" for...except that they keep making changes themselves and then calling the cavalry - me - when the reports don't work right.

Then there's the impending Office upgrade issue. Another client will have her desktop computer upgraded to Win7 next week and we have not yet completed upgrade testing on the app she uses, which happens to be a fairly critical app. So I need to quickly coordinate with her to keep her app viable through the changeover.

Then there's my partner, who just migrated a new reporting app to production and can't get the online files to work and wants my help...

But it's nice to be needed.

 

I haven't had to think this hard in 5 years... my head hurts.
