A group of crows is called a murder...

 

a pair of doves live in my garden, so I hung a birdtable for them.. at first they stood on top wondering how to get the food.. now they dive right in & keep coming back..

 

Just put out a new suet-cake for the birds...

 

Poor Erin is probably worried that they are going to get her.

Do not put on The Birds for her to watch!!!

 

Sometimes she sits on my knee and watches the birds outside... She's cute.

 

The vet gave Piper a shot for nausea, some pills for nausea, and 20 Prednisone to be taken every other day for the bumps.

She weighed 66.2 lbs. today and will be 9 months old in a few days.

How does she act when the murder is out there? Sounds like she's curious; but, not interested in joining them. She knows where she's supposed to be. :sultan:

aww...sweet big girl that she is. I hate she (and y'all) are going through this. When I read it, I thought allergies immediately. There isn't any poison oak, ivy or summac nearby...right? I just have to ask. Even if she was only exposed to it during the pond visit, if she is extremely allergic, it could take her a while to get over it...if it got in her skin good, or somehow she bizarrely swallowed some of the juice.

I know steroids work on that type of allergy, and some people are terribly allergic. It takes a friend of mine a couple of weeks (or 3) to get completely over a bad break-out.

 

Erin is 5 or 6 years old... I have to go back through some emails to know what year exactly. She was a fledgling when she fell from the nest, so still a baby. It's easier to recall her birthday because it was right around Beltane when I got her.

Piper may have gotten into poison ivy during her pond visit, I don't know. She has not been near any prior to this last episode. I think the vomiting was more worrisome to my daughter this time; there aren't as many bumps as after the pond visit.
