I forgot - when Brits say they're "pissed," it means they're drunk. When I say it, it means I'm angry.

Well I do know that when I'm so drunk the room starts spinning, I'm not going to like waking up in the morning.

I was supposed to be following my 16-year-old son around Boston today and watching the fireworks there tonight. Instead, I got sick. So he's wandering by himself- which was his original plan anyway - and I gave him my cell phone so I can check up on him once in a while.

Probably just as well - a day of trying to keep up with him probably would have made me sick, if I wasn't already...

 

I was actually much worse than usual, and I enjoy the odd drink. I have no idea how it become so severe, but at my old and tender age I cannot handle the hangovers anymore

As recently as last year, I kept a bottle of vodka next to my bed, and used it liberally. I figured, How much trouble can I get into getting drunk in my own bed? Well, quite a bit, it turned out... After waking up lots of times having no idea why there were things broken and people mad at me, I decided it was not a lifestyle I could sustain.

 

I take it that "pissed" is not a de rigeur term in the posher circles?

I just watched 1000s of motorcycles driving up the highway. I was actually trapped at nicoles work waiting for them to pass to get out of the parking lot.

 

Is Twinnings simple slang for Kopi Luwak around the posh circuit?

Be that as it may, I would hate to think how tasteless you would think me whenever I say I'm pissed off - which I do say frequently, cuz that's just the kinda guy I am.

You could always try saying that you are 'bloody annoyed' instead :tongue:

How about: "I'm in a bloody snit!" Though perhaps that's not something a Brit would admit to...
