The last few days I have been cooking and baking non-stop. One more day of cooking and then I swear I am not going to cook for a week.

When the kids were little they use to love watching that. As parents it was great because we could say he is getting closer and it is time to go to bed.

 

I'm already getting sleepy and it's only 915…

There are some things you shouldn't say around a bunch of construction workers.

15 of us were on the shuttle buss after work when we stopped at a light and I saw a guy crossing the street
wearing sunglasses with neon orange arms on them. I said hey look... them neon sunglasses are back, lol.

Then the new guy says: "Ya I remember those from back in the day, reminds me of the joe camel fanny pack I used to wear back then."

The whole buss went quiet. Then one of the guys said: "Did you wear polka dot socks too? Bwaahahahaa!"

Everyone was laughing and mumbling stuff. I leaned over and told him to try and change the subject fast.

He did, and it worked. I can't remember what he said, but they dropped the subject, lucky him.

We've all been riding that shuttle buss for a few weeks now (to and from the job site) and somehow I've managed to say a few funny things
that got some people laughing. Now whenever I open my mouth people listen. I'm not sure I like that attention. I have to be careful of what I say.

We will be riding that bus for the next two years, and they are hiring new people all the time. Soon the bus will be full. It's one of those giant
yellow school busses.

The buss ride is ten minutes each way from our parking area to the jobsite and back. Plenty of time to say something stupid.

Right now people say good morning to me when I get on the bus. I'm going to try and keep my mouth shut as much as I can so it stays that way.

Or at least think before I say something.

 

Just got done watching my annual edition of It's A Wonderful Life. I watch it every xmas eve. My son called me earlier to tell me he was coming over. He asked what I was doing. I said I was watching a movie. He said "It's A wonderful Life?" I said "Yeah...how did you know?" He said <insert facepalm>"It's probably one of the only movies you've ever seen. It's not that hard to guess which one you're watching."

So then he came over and he's been living out of state for a while. I got to hear him play guitar during commercials. Every time I hear him play he is so much better than the last time. I want to preface this next statement by saying that I'm a guitar player signed to a label. I know some seriously good players and this kid blew my mind....again. I think he is now the best acoustic player I know. He's twice as good as people twice his age. I'm going to video tape him playing and post it. He kicks my ass all over the place.

 

LOL! Also, Justin...even though I can say I've never ridden a shuttle bus with a bunch of construction workers, I know what you mean about everything else.

Occasionally at work, when under stress (at Mickey D's theres LOTS of stress) I've had this BAD habit of not watching every little thing that comes out of my mouth. Occasionally (my co-workers claim it to be often) I may say something funny...so yes, when I say something now they practically stop to listen. This is NOT what I want/ed to happen as I'm just as likely to say something I probably should not. However, I wouldn't go as far as a fanny-pack comment.

The only thing I can say for sure is that (so far ) I've never said anything around or to a customer that I shouldn't. Lordhavemercy on my mouth.

Yeah, I need to just keep my mouth shut too. From past experience, I KNOW that is my safest bet. :clown: Not everybody appreciates a clown.

I also tend to laugh when a situation is bad and I want to get Really Upset...sort of like laughing to keep from crying...but that's not good either.

Yes, keeping my mouth shut is the best way to go for me. Now, if I could only Always Abide with this decision, and control my oral output.

 

I'm sitting in my car on the ferry waiting to take off across a really rough waters and 60 mile an hour winds… So I can start my journey to my sisters for the day …do you even have the cars parked only halfway forward on the boat and guessing the first job the boys getting covered in water on the trip overeveryone have an awesome day stay safe…

I haven't been quiet so the day seems full of energy to me. No fatigue, no pain, although I might be one you can tolerate in the long run.

 

yesterdays rain turned into a blizzard overnight

had to use the truck plow first time this year...neighbours have been shovelling for months but i dont bother for the small stuff it always melts anyway (but now i think its here to stay)

i think people who shovel for an inch or two are just idiots

 

I'm debating whether I want to go to work tomorrow. I'm pretty bored today and it will probably be more of the same if I stay home tomorrow.

 

I hear that. I don't want to go to work tomorrow but it's got to be better than sitting around at home catching up on housework.
