They went by helicopter... my mother went with him on the flight...

Oh and the bear was back outside again...

I figure he should get to enjoy this time, shortly he (or she?) won't be coming back anymore...

i rode 2 hours in the teeming rain and thunder today...saw a humongous wild turkey,a gopher lookin tyoe thing,some cool birds and a hottie when i stopped at the legion for a coffee

 

If I meant I was going to kill it, I would have said so... I'm not shy...

We will have a cow, pigs and chickens again shortly, and from then on, bears won't be welcome and Mia (our great pyr) will be left outside permanently which means no more bears around.

Oh, and it didn't snow at all last night.

Oh my, I've just seen that they are making a new Yogi bear film.

 

so... he was being driven home for a weekend visit by a volunteer driver. I don't know exactly what happened, but apparently the car they were in hit a tractor trailer. It went under the trailer so the first part that hit was the windshield, so the airbags didn't go off.

The volunteer driver died, my foster brother smashed his face really bad, the whole thing is bruised and smashed, especially from the nose down, missing a bunch of teeth, etc. He is going to need massive reconstructive surgery, and they will keep him in a medically induced coma for at least a couple of days, so they still have no idea what it means in terms of brain damage.

They went by ambulance to earlton, flew on some sort of small jet plane (my mothers words) to sudbury, were transfered to a helicopter and flown to the roof of the hosptial.

It didn't do anything here... no rain, no snow... above normal winds, but nothing bad... the wind turbine is spinning like mad

 

I got no problem given him a hat and a vest, but I'm not dressing him... and the first animal from here that he mistakes for a picnic basket and eats will be the first step in my how to video... "How to make a bear skin rug"

It cost me (when I pay for it) less then $200 for this one, the wire and diode.

The tower was already there, not the best way to have a tower, as I can hear it when the wind kicks up...

The batteries I already had, as well as the inverter.

I'm hoping to be able to show off my new 80 foot tower shortly... although I'll be damned if I know how I am ever going to climb it... lol

 

We got just a little rain here last night, now it has cooled off considerably....;-)
