I went to get beer and on the walk to the store I saw the brightest most amazing rainbow I've ever seen. It stretched from one end of the sky to the other and was so bright and prominent. It was also a sort of double rainbow. The colours went; Red, orange, yellow, green blue purple, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple, yellow green, blue, purple. Of course there was shades of magenta and aqua and such in it. And as I got closer I also notcied another more faded one over top of it. It was glorious! I'm so glad I went. :)

And now it's time for a cold one :cheers2:

We always had to sing the colours of the rainbow at school when I was little. It was a nice time!

I just want to be able to sleep, even if just for one night :(

Why haven't you been sleeping well lately? It's almost 1 AM where you are is it not?

I guess I have things on my mind and they won't let me sleep.

Aww that is not good. Wish I could run you a nice warm bath, give you a hot toddy and tuck you in for a good sleep. Try to let your brain cells settle and tomorrow will look after tomorrow. :)

I have to do my dishes now. Not as much fun as a bath but I get to put bubbles in the sink. :)

    :) Thank you.

A bath sounds pretty nice right now!

When things enter your mind, try to just watch the thoughts float around, but don't actually think about them (which only creates more thoughts). Just let them float around like butterflies and watch, don't analyse them. Good luck :)

That's kind of similar to counting sheep. When I was little I would try that but they just kept me awake.

    Have you tried making up a peaceful scenerio in your mind? I had chronic insomnia for years and last year I found this would help;

I'd picture a light in the darkness of my mind, then it would get a bit brighter and orange. Then I could see some sand, and waves and I'd see that I was on a beach. I'd imagine laying on the beach as the sun was setting, thinking of the warm sand around me and the pleasant crash of waves. Then just think of lying there in warm sand and waves crashing (think of the sound over and over).

It doesn't have to be a beach, but think of a really peaceful scenerio where you're alone and laying down or just relaxing.

Sounds very peaceful. I'll give it a try, thanks.

I'm usually okay with sleeping, perhaps just one night or so where I couldn't, but it's been a few days now and I'm getting fed up of it.

The damn spider is back

Half an hour ago he was on the ceiling at the other end of the hall, now he's crawled over and is outside my door. He can sense my fear.

If I throw water over him, he'll fall down and run into my room which means I'll have to sleep elsewhere. He still wins

And then it falls off into my hair, or leaves a big spider stain on the wall?

You come here and catch it.

Oh and 'little' bugger. I'll have you know he's huge.

Yeah, no problem. Might help me sleep. Or we can sit up listening to the Gregorians all night.

And you better be here quick, I swear I can see his giant hairy legs trying to get in over the top of the door.
