its a weird system if i remember right...there is a piece they call an equalizer that is usually a pain in the ass the important part is to know your wheelbase before ordering anything
Plans for tomorrow: Wife: What are you doing tomorrow? Me: I'm going to wake up and go run. Then I'm going to play guitar for a while. Then I'm going to play golf with <friend>. Then I'm going kayaking with <other friends>. Then we're going to cook food on the grill. Then we might jam out some more for a while. Wife: So you'll be fucked up and going to bed around 10 or so tomorrow night? Me: Yeah. Probably. It's a rough life.
My golf partner bailed and it might be too windy to go kayaking today. Maybe. But the run was good. It's kind of hazy outside. It's the smoke from the fire in Canada.....coming all the way down here to Iowa. You can even smell it. That's a real bummer for all those people up there. I hope they can get that under control soon.
rough night for pain..i kept dreaming i was trapped in a really bad car wreck.... then id wake up and wonder if i was actually awake because everything still hurts
I'm a sucker for "cosmetically challenged" plants at the garden stores... Picked up several deals though. They recover. Also got some generic annuals for the front garden. Also got a few (10) bags of mulch for a buck a bag... Open/torn bags but they didn't lose much, if any, of the contents. They've just got some kid working there that doesn't know how to lift bags of mulch.... Well, he may not still be working there anymore... _____________________ The second damascus sword showed up today too... So now it's a set, both short swords but with different blade styles. Same damascus pattern, the new one is a Celtic leaf blade style. Time to make the baldric and scabbards. I need some brass too, I'm going to make new matching pommels for better balance. Arming gloves are almost done... I've got to get back into training.
That's my left hand blade... made for thrust movements. I never did two handed movements before, should be interesting.
I didn't end up going golfing or boating today. And....not fucked up either. Life in the slow lane. But I did buy three trees at the university plant sale today. Two magnolias and a bald cypress. Funny....on Thursday, I was at a customers house and looking at some outstanding magnolias they had and thinking "Damn! Those look great and I have the perfect place for a couple of them. I should get some." Then I happened to have a change in my plans for the day and found myself looking at two nice little magnolias for a good price. I don't know exactly where I'm going to put the cypress yet but it was almost a majestic tree. It stood out among all the other trees and commanded your attention. I already have one out back that I bought at the same sale last year but this one is much nicer. I was actually talking to someone I know who works there and told him how awesome I thought the cypress tree looked. He said people have been drooling over it and commenting on it for 3 days. It was the only one there this year and I have no idea how it wasn't already sold (....unless maybe they had some super awesome ones that all sold before this one...hmm...I don't think that's very likely). So I don't know exactly where it will go but it's in a huge pot that takes more than one person to move so it can stay there for a while. We're changing some things in the yard, possibly adding a pond and a bunch of landscaping, etc. That tree will be happy here.
I went to my daughter's BFF's wedding today. The thing that was sweet about the day was how emotional my daughter was for her best friend. She cried before the processional for the wedding even started. She had written a long toast that she was too choked up to read. I had to take the mic and read it for her. It was just precious. I'm glad to be back home out of wedding clothes and make up.
