My son thinks she was sitting on her porch in the dark last night, waiting for us to bring the dogs out, when he scared her back inside her house.

 

Crazy neighbor hasn't been out tonight.

This makes me highly suspicious.

 

Put The "U-Beaut Farm Ute" Through The Carwash Yesterday, Can't Believe How Well The Old Girl Scrubbed Up.

I Realise Some Peeps See Them As A Lazy Way To Clean A Car, But The Ute Had Been Outdoors For Some Months

And For Me To Remove All The Crap That Was On It Would Have Been A Big Job......

Worked a bit late yesterday so we wouldn't have to work today. Then we got up this morning and went for a little run. That surprised me because my wife hates running. She's in good shape but....getting her to run with me is like pulling teeth. She ran for 2 miles and only complained for about half of it....but 2 miles is really pretty good for her. Now we are going to stack a shitload of fire wood and then we are going kayaking!!

I'm going to take flowers to the cemetery, buy some food, and cook it over the fire. Actually, I'll do lots more but that's all that is on the agenda as far as hubby can commit to.

Not really. She just lets me think I'm in charge once in a while. We got done stacking all the wood and I sat down here to have a cup of coffee and she's already wanting me to get the boats ready to go. Geez.....settle down, woman!! The river will still be there when we get there.

 

used a meguires headlight polishing kit today and was very impressed with the results





if youre ever going to do this buy that same exact kit...one bottle is cleaner paste and the other is a spray can

I have to find out how to clean the markers at the cemetery. They look terrible. You can hardly read my dad's.

 

Oh man! It was super windy on the water today. One of those days where you would float up the river sometimes if you didn't paddle. The water was so choppy that I was almost worried about spilling my beer a few times. The solution to that is to make sure that you have less than half a beer....even right after you open a new beer! That's a pro tip for the boating newbies who might be reading this.

But we took the puppy with us for the first time. He's about 5x as big as when I posted that pic. He did great on the water and he does a good job of staying near me on land. I'm ready for a nap but I have some fresh coffee.....about to go get some food to grill and then going to watch an outdoor movie this evening on a massive projector screen with PA sound at a friends place in the country.

Got home and broke the news to my daughter.....away from my wife....

Me: I regret to inform you of this somber news....we apparently don't eat Cheez-its!!
Daughter: Of course we don't eat those. Have you looked at the ingredients?

What the fuck is going on around here? Maybe I should have a yogurt and some fucking tree bark!

i just remembered i have some blueberry yogurt in the fridge

 

Got about 1/2 of the first of the season mowing done. (even though I mowed the backyard a week or more ago... that didn't count) The sections I didn't do are still loaded with downed branches... I just didn't feel like picking up a shyt ton of branches today.

Bug sprayed the eves for wasps/hornet/borer bees about 2/3 of the way around the house. Also sprayed the honeysuckle brush that I cleared last year as it's just starting to put out new stuff.

Tomorrow is another day. (Obvious statement is obvious)
