Random Facts About You ....number 59

Went kayaking with a friend this afternoon. What a perfect day for it! It is really windy but the wind was mostly pushing us down river. Otherwise, it was sunny and 80 degrees. It was kind of funny...when we were out my friend was saying how much he's been itching to get on the water lately. I said "Hey...I said we should have went out 5 or 6 weeks ago!" He said "I know that but there was still ice on the river when you wanted to go out!" That's true but we still could have bundled up and went. It wasn't frozen solid.

 

We also went to the international food fair today with our exchange student friend. We've spent a lot of time with her lately. I think my family is very happy to include her in the things we do. I'm pretty sure she wishes she was staying with us but we kind of helped to get her moved to a different place starting this coming Tuesday. If that didn't work out, then she would come to our house.

I'm actually maybe kind of surprised and humbled because just today she told us how much she loves spending time with us and she told my wife again that I am the first and only American who she has met who she thinks understands her and sees the world how she does. I am so happy to be able to be that person but I think she's actually a much better person than I am.

On that note....we may participate in the exchange program next year but we'll talk more about that later. These kids are great people...as far as I can tell. I'd really like to be a part of it.

 

Took the cat to be spayed, took the triplets to the park, one of them was stung by a bee, picked the cat up, came home, played in the yard, bought some weed, eating some dinner.

 

Temperature has been dropping all day, supposed to go down to 22F tonight, or someshyt... Plants and animals are all confused.

 

could be worse....

 

I think we're supposed to get 34F Friday morning but it's still too early for Blackberry Winter.

 

-18c tonight

but at least its not snowing...the snow is coming later wednesday and thursday when it warms up a bit

I had my firecrackers this morning and worked like a mule in the yard. They got me good and revved up and now I'm so tired I can't seem to decompress.

 

Unusual, but not unheard of.

 

did that snapchat thread get deleted because of the creepiness?;;;....or did sommething good happen and i missed it?

i am fast running out of wood again...and a shit ton of sap to still boil ;(

 

idk, wasnt paying attention. seen it once and it was gone.. the skipper might of killed it, he was on around the same time. probably just checking out his evil creation.. ;l

i miss the no internet days sometimes

 

Drinking a few beers tonight. I wish I could just sleep through the night. I have no problem not drinking, I have a problem sleeping. The dreams seem to be there either way. It's just a matter of how much I remember them. I don't want to remember them. I just want to sleep.

 

I don't drink beer - but every other thing you said up there is exactly what I've been experiencing. I was up at 8 this morning, worked in the yard and have even done stuff in the house! Extra stuff, that is. Yet here I am at almost 1am and even though I feel "calm" (not antsy), I'm not ready to try to sleep.

Before I get to sleep I probably turn over from one side to the other no less than 50 times. Of course that isn't counting the times I try laying flat on my back in the middle of the turning. I would rather sleep on my side because I always (without fail!) dream more/worse when I'm on my back. In fact that is how I wake up each time a dream wakes me up. The ones where I NEED to say something important, scream out or whatever and I can't find my voice are the most aggravating, not the worst though.

In real life, I may sometimes be speechless (temporarily ) because of the stupidity of a situation or I'm dealing with a crazy person/people - but I've never in real life had a hard time finding my voice nor expressing it.

 

Still hand sewing on the black leather coat modification project... Still more to do, but it's about time to sew up the lining finally.



Picked up a sword and dagger to go with it.

everything is so white its hard to tell if theres deep drifts or not until i get out there

 

you sound thrilled too.....snowing here but nothing staying yet......i am still boiling mad sap outside and fast runninhg out of wood..down to a few big stumps that will wreak havoc on my saw ;(

this snow will be around at least a week according to what the temps are forecasted

i dont like it but i remember we didnt have good snow until end of december so a late spring isnt so bad
