Also, I went exploring on a section of my property I have yet to do anything with and found an old stone foundation. Basically a pile of rocks, but three sides of a rectangle. It used to be something...

 

I'm upset that Piper had a setback today.

She was sitting, on leash, in the yard and suddenly leaped in the air to catch a bee. All four feet came off the ground and when she came back down on her hind legs she fell into a lying position.

She hasn't put weight on it since. She was doing so well. Damn it.

The vet said she more than likely didn't do any damage to the ligament repair. She may have torn on internal stitch. I'm to watch her for more than slight swelling which might occur tomorrow.

I could put ice on it every 4-6 hours but so far she only let it stay about 5 minutes.

I'm really so disappointed this happened. The vet said it might take her a week to get back to where she was.


In other news, I'm stringing together a natural color howlite necklace for myself. It will have a little brass Kokopelli in the center. I'm using small brown wooden beads every 5 howlites, for spacing.

She's young and resilient. She may bounce back quicker than a week.

 

She must have been feeling at least a little better if she jumped off the ground like that.....in theory anyway.

dogs heal quickly because they have radical molecular growth 3xs that of human beings.. this is also the reason they die early ..

 

not sure,, heel is heel like better or heel like heal of feet or heal dog.. oh fuck it..

 

That's interesting about their molecular growth being faster. I've never heard of that.

I took Piper out and she put a little weight on the foot. Of course, she's had tramadol and carprofen now but still I was pleased.

Good morning.

Hubby overslept his alarm and would've missed his pain doctor appointment if it weren't for me waking him.

Piper is better than yesterday as far as putting some weight on the foot.

Coffee is awesome.


That's all I've got.

 

Even bad coffee is awesome....
