My aunt and uncle divorced after 45+ years of marriage, 40 years in the same house.
They had a huge dresser that went wall to wall. Every night he would come home and just toss any change in his pocket behind the dresser. After they divorced he collected it all and called my aunt and said she could have all the quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies, he took all the dollar and half dollar coins, over $600 worth.
My aunt got about $900-$1000 face value, but she was going to separate the silver and stuff. Never found out the final $$ amount from her.

If it's the thread I'm thinking of.....I stopped posting in that thread a long time ago. I actually checked out the last page yesterday to see if there was anything new and thought "Yup...same shit...different page. No reason to scroll back over the last 20 pages since I posted in it." :)

some goof was tailgating me today because i refuse to drive in the slow lane due to the potholes

every time he tried to get around he got stuck behind another car it was pretty funny for me to watch

then when he finally gets ahead we end up turning into the same coffee place ...we line up at the drive thru and i decided it was moving too slow so i parked and walked in...

on the way out i could still see him in line waiting lmao

07 dodge nitro.....has full lights and power....but nothing from the engine at all....just quiet when you turn the key full

any idea spaceman?....i feel bad because i borrowed it for 2 days and it died as soon as i returned it...has a new battery

new battery would make me look at connections there first

second look would be bad solenoid or loose starter wire (or bad starter)

also move the shifter around maybe its the neutral safety acting up

Tell her to put the shifter back into Park and try again.

I'm kind of being a smartass with that suggestion but I've seriously seen people try to start cars with the shifter in Drive on at least three different occasions.

An ambulance had to come get a kid on our street tonight.

I saw him before the ambulance got there. He was sitting up so I don't know how badly he was hurt.

The story is that he was hanging onto the spoiler on a car, catching a ride on his skateboard. The driver "didn't know he was back there", accelerated, he went off in the gutter of the street, and got airborne.

Girl sleep-over night tonight at my house. They have guns! No...really...they do. I took them to the range this evening since there wasn't a movie showing that they wanted to see. Watched them blow through who knows how much ammo.

So yeah....I guess that's a thing.....hey, the movies suck tonight! Let's go shooting! I suppose it could be worse.

They are currently highly amused with the new puppy who might hate them by now. We decided a few days ago that his name is Judas....or just Jude for the prudish, easily offended or un-amused people....who I don't give much of a fuck about anyway. The other dog is supposedly "Lucy". They have a Beatles cover story. "Lucy" In The Sky With Diamonds and Hey "Jude". How comfortable. I know them as Lucifer and Judas. They are both tiny. :)

I'm getting things ready to go spend the day at the ballpark(s) tomorrow. I'll be watching the triplets for sure and maybe the older granddaughter too. It's two different parks - two different towns, so I don't know.

Just pick your favorite kids and go see them and say it was simply who drew the short straw.

    Just kidding, just kidding. :)

But your ballpark stories remind me fondly of playing ball when I was a kid. We had a huge league in the city so I would often spend all day at the diamonds on the weekends (and some evenings during the week). I would play my game and try to ump a few games. We got paid $6 per game behind the plate and $4 or $5 per game for the field. I could usually get two games....three if I was lucky. Not a ton of money but not bad for a poor kid in the 80's who had to be there anyway. I enjoyed it.
