I woke up this morning and saw -25C on the thermometer and assumed that it wasn't working right. unfortunately, it is working just fine.

 

It wouldn't hurt ya to go visit. The west coast is beautiful! So what's up with the house having been haunted in the past?

I'll tell this story (probably told you guys before) and try to keep it short.

My house is the first house north of a corner house. To the east of the corner house is a brick house and then the alley. The back yard of the brick house used to be part of my yard at one point so both the brick house and the corner house yards abut my yard. The people in the brick house swear that it's haunted. Supposedly, an old man roams the house and they have "spoke" to him numerous times. They claim that he was the person who built the house, that he is pleasant and doesn't mind them living there but he says he doesn't have to leave because it's his house. They swear this is true.

The corner house.......a man in his 80's lives there. I've known him for years. I'm friends with his daughter who is engaged to one of my bandmates. She not only swears that this large, sort of spooky house is haunted but....she says she believes it's even some sort of spiritual porthole with lots of entities passing through. She grew up there and she says the second floor is much more haunted than the first. I have to say....I'm a skeptic but....she took me upstairs exactly one time and I can tell you that I don't want to go back up there again. There is something about it that I can't find the words to describe. You don't want to be there at all. Coincidentally, years ago the corner house was a brothel. Kitty corner from that house is a house that another one of my bandmates owns which used to be the place they ran booze through in the Prohibition Years. So you have sex on one corner and booze on the other.

My house....I've never had anything too scary happen. Lots of noises at night that I can't explain. Not just creaking or air in the pipes. Noises that sometimes wake me up at night and I lay there wondering what it is until I remind myself that it's just the noises that are always there at night and have never hurt anyone. There have been many times when I was home alone but sensed something there with me. Is it real? I don't know but it seemed real enough that when I first moved there (before I knew anything about the other houses) I walked through the house and said something like "Hey...if you're here...that's ok with me. But I need a place to live to so hopefully we can coexist. I won't bother you and I hope you won't bother me." And when we first started the remodel....just to be on the safe side....I told the "house" that I'm sure it was aware of the water damage and that it had to be fixed....think of it as an upgrade. If there really is something there, I don't get the sense that it doesn't want me there. If anything, it feels like the opposite.

Anyway....yeah...crazy stuff. I don't know if I believe any of it but whatever is at my house is real enough that I talk to my house and I'm pretty skeptical about this kind of stuff.

Decision, one way or the other was going to be wrong as it was based on a much earlier decision that was wrong. I do regret yesterday's though.

Regardless of your decision, I'm sure everyone will agree you are fit to belong anywhere.

I'm not wise, nor could I know what is the right way to approach another person's dilemma, but I've been told that you never know whether any decision was right or wrong until everything plays out...everything.

I'm guessing that you feel badly because someone else was/is affected by your decision. Surely if anyone else is affected, they will know that you have good intentions.

 

Not if they can't understand.

Pulled the bath plug out from it'd place on the side of the tub and the huge heavy metal thing flee out hitting the joint of my finger. Really hurts and I can't bend it now.


Hate this place.

 

Went out with a buddy today to cut some lumber on the mill. We cut some cherry, hickory and oak. Good looking boards. The hickory is beautiful.

I've got the same old (futile) crush which waxes and wanes.

I'm making the cat food.

Hubby says he had more seizures in the wee hours of the morning.

Later, I cook some bone broth and turn it into carrot and noodle soup.

Hubby has an abdominal scan early tomorrow morning. The grandkids are out of school so we will take the girls with us. The boy is spending the night with a friend so I assume he will spend most of tomorrow with him.

I'm drinking coffee. I feel like my battery ran dry from this mornings coffee.

 

i'm having a coffee too though I may regret it at 2am
