I haven't played mine in like 8 months. What kind of music do you play?

 

tom i know i read it somewhere before but how do you heat? big assed wood stove?

i cleaned up quite a bit today!

 

Well, I have two - a violin and a fiddle. So I change between classical and more folksy stuff. It took me a long time not to get them confused with each other.

I played a few classical pieces today - Pachelbel's Canon is one of my favourite pieces. When I was at university I was in a string ensemble, so might join up again. I hadn't played in about 4 months.

Pachelbel's Canon is a classic. That's cool you play both fiddle and violin. I didn't know they were different instruments. I played classical from kindergarden through highschool, but I didn't really play in college. I wish I would have.

I'd like to learn the fiddle. Is it tough to learn compared to classical?

 

Two wood stoves actually. Both are airtight, double walled with fans to force air between the walls to suck all the heat out of them.

It still hasn't stopped here... I was going to put up another pic, but figured I'll wait til just before it starts getting dark... seems it shows no signs of stopping...

 

They are the same instrument, but the approach to playing it is very different.

I learnt classical first, so when I changed to the fiddle it wasn't too bad. I think fiddle is much easier to learn that violin anyhow.

There is a guy I have seen play a few times and he is just amazing! He plays classical and also plays in a Serbian folk band, I would love to play with him!
