I've wondered about yurts, too. Cheap housing for when the family comes to visit. Two things have stopped me from purchasing. We get serious wind here every now and then. Not sure if they can stand up to that sort of thing. AND the portable gazebo type thing I bought for out at the pond only lasted a year before the fabric covering the frame shredded. The fabric wasn't canvas but felt like some sort of poly-blend. Whatever it was... it only lasted a year. It only cost 100 bucks on sale.. so I don't mind repurchasing yearly... but yurts are considerably more expensive.

Got a plow blade that'll fit the MTD "Black Thing" today.... $20.00

Like new, probably used only once... because that type of tractor really can't push snow.

Eh, for 20 bucks I can do something with it, like intimidate salesmen or something.

spiff...mechanic thinks I have a bad spider gear.......

8 or 9 times today and yesterday...at a slow speed maybe 40ish in third.....when I hit the right bump at the right rev all of a sudden my left rear wheel locks up,.....it is happening more frequently....

couple times at first I just hit the breaks....shut the truck off skidding 1 wheel till it stopped and ran through the gears, clutch in....then good to go....now I am getting good at realizing it is about to happen and I clutch, break and shift to neutral and then I can shift to second and go......going faster speeds it seems fine....so far

so....buddy says if its a spider gear he will install shear pins and make it a posi traction....he said its an hourish depending on how much he has to clean up the inside of the dif etc

does all that sound right to you?

what if I fill the crank with lucas goo?...will that help for a few days until I get the hilidays over with?

i have no idea what he means by shear pins

posi traction is a complete different carrier in the rear...sounds like maybe he plans on welding shit together which is only ok for off road

id be more suspicious of brake pads jamming

diff is really easy to see whats wrong if you just pop off the rear cover you can see everything

look in glove box the sticker will say what type of rear end....if it says g80 its already a locking rear end...other "g" codes will be for ratio ...most are gu6 on automatics im not familiar with what most standards have

I will check the glove box

Still battling this sickness, trying to make it until New Years Eve. I think that's when I'll have money for a doctor visit.

i dont like to be in movies or pictures..plus my back is so bad now i barely do anything ..last job was like 2 weeks ago im going broke quick

thats weird for the abs light to come on

the abs sensor is usually on the transmission (or transfercase on 4x4 models)...one sensor for the rear wheels and one each in front

at least jack the rear wheels up and wiggle shit around or take that one wheel off...its much more likely to be a wheel/brake area problem....spider gears usually only show problems when your turning ...they dont do anything when youre driving straight

easy way to feel for spiders jamming is put it in neutral and jack up just one wheel and spin it by hand it forces the spider gears around
