update on mickey...the gentleman that passed away last Wednesday night....turns out I did know him but only to wave to on the road or nod hello...I know multiple members of his family and extended faily.....story as I hear it is he was making an emergency plumbing call to a neighbors farm...he was in the well and suffered a heart attack and became tangled in the lines and could not get out on his own....he did have someone there with him but it was too late by the time more help arrived

his viewing is today on the mainland and since 12 noon there has been a 150 cars in the lineup to get off the island....ferry holds 55 cars...he is a highly respected man on this island with deep deep roots and many many family here on the island....the entire island is attempting to leave and go the funeral home....I will attend the funeral tomorrow here on the island but feel wrong taking a spot in the ferry line and possibly makig one of his closer friends miss the viewing

For the most part it was seat time on the WoodRat and I got to play with the new Stihl chainsaw for a bit.

 

My brother has called me 4 times this afternoon and texted me 3 or 4 times as well. I talked to him once. I know what he wants. He doesn't need to blow my phone up. He should know that I'll call him back when I get a chance. Maybe I'm too busy typing out this post to call him back right now. Geez!

It's another great "business opportunity" for me to "invest" in.

Pretty much. He's had plenty of crazy ideas and I've had to euthanize a lot of those (very poor) plans over the years but....I'll give him credit for not quitting. He isn't a natural business type of person but he keeps dreaming and trying to think of ways to improve his standing in life. Maybe he will be right one day if he just keeps trying. You never know.

But...yeah....I gave him the money this time. I want him to succeed. I don't think this particular plan is a huge winner but it will probably turn at least enough of a profit to keep him encouraged and help him pay the bills.

Well after getting all my bills now... I owe... 27k US on my credit cards from that trip.

Well it went on a credit card but I have the money, I was just waiting for the big bill.
I don't get charged with interest if I pay it all in 30 days. and I've already transferred it over so I'm in the clear.
