I've been a little too busy too hit the gym for the last couple of months. That changed this week. I refocused on my regular gym schedule and hit it a little too hard. I should know better than to try to jump back in where I left off. It isn't my first barn dance. I'm paying today and tomorrow will be worse. But it will get easier. It always does. But I'm pretty sore tonight.

I can't hit the gym once a week. There is no point to that for me. My job is usually physical enough that I don't need to do anything like that. I need to go all in....4 days a week on average (in addition to everything else) or not at all. In the colder months, I'm usually training for endurance races in the spring and summer.

I guess the circuit training class has been cut from my gym for the time being (a lot of members are pissed) but there is a "Bootcamp" class starting soon. You have to pay extra for that class though.

Satisfied with the work... the cost is the cost. What riles me is that everything is so damned expensive these days. The common man can't get a break... If you're poor, forget it. But everybody is supposed to just "write a check, or put it on your card"... If you can't do that, well there's a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere.

5000.... I probably got you beat on that... The deer don't care. They think my garden, shrubs, and trees are an early breakfast...

I only hit my left knee 3 times today... I'm good. One shot almost put me on the ground, lucky I had that stick in my hand for support. The "risk" tree that I have to do this year isn't one I had these guys look at. There's another suffering Maple up at the driveway entrance that needs to come down soonish. Or it's gonna clout somebody's car.

After burning up most of the dead Ash sticks today in a different burn spot I started on a new brushing and burning project. There is an evergreen forest to the west of my house, and it's clogged with honeysuckle and wild grape. The spot I started on, there is a young Pine that somebody had protected with wire fence so the deer don't fuck it up. It had since been surrounded and over shadowed with honeysuckle and then a grape started to grow up it and tangle in the canopy. Poor thing is still alive but couldn't get any sunshine... It will tomorrow. All that is cut away now. I've got a shit-ton more honeysuckle to cut tomorrow and burn up.

A pine forest is supposed to be just pine trees with a bed of needles and a few cones on the ground... Not a mass of shrubs you can't walk through.

Kudos to you Ty. I greatly admire you.

Not sure if you can get it but I sometimes use tigerbalm. It stinks and it can stain clothing etc but if I rub it on the knots or temples it helps me.

I wish I had some advice for headaches. My mom used to say that you should pinch the part of your nose that is between your eyes for 30 seconds. I have no idea if that really worked but she used to get really bad headaches when I was a kid. Maybe because of me.

Pinching the fleshy web between the thumb and forefinger works for headaches. Get up into the meaty area and pinch HARD. It;s gonna hurt while doing this but it will stop headaches. And, no your thumb isn't going to hurt for hours either.

I can get Tiger Balm but I never have. I've put other, similar things, on my shoulders. After I get them heated up with this towel I will put something on them.

I don't mind the smell personally but each time the kids smell it they tease me that I am wearing my good perfume. :)

Sorry about your headaches. I used to have horrible and frequent headaches. I got a pleasant surprise after menopause. No more headaches. I get a sensation that I am getting a headache and less than a minute later it is gone. Strange but I will take it. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Brushing is brutal on saw chains... Even if you are keeping it out of the dirt. Gotta cut as low as possible so a mower of some sort can pass over the area. But even when I use one saw for cutting at-or-near the ground, and another for upper level, both chains are loose before it's time to refill the gas tank. Just beats the shit out of them.

    Alright, back to work!
