Or have the daughter wash and wax the car, right after she cleans up the carport. :)

    I did both; sort of.

I washed the upper half of the car and halfway cleaned out the carport enough to get the car in.

Neither is perfect but both are a big improvement.

I'll finish the car on Sunday when it's cooler and after I take it to the dusty/muddy ballpark tomorrow.

One more thing about last weekends show that I was just remembering while jamming a bit ago. If anyone remembers me saying...I used to be kind of intimidated about playing with those guys a number of years ago. Not so much now but I'm still probably overly-critical of my own playing. Anyway...after the set, I had a conversation with some of the guys that kind of meant a lot in retrospect.

The band had fired one of their guys because he just created such negative mojo with his attitude. They couldn't take it anymore. So I was asked to play. After the set, I was talking with the other guys and said something about me missing a few parts but it wasn't too bad. The #1 guy basically said "Everyone missed a few things here and there. It was still fine. Bringing you in made playing fun again and brought the vibe of the band back! It made us play again."

That might be one of the coolest things I've ever had anyone who I respect so much tell me. That kind of made my day. It kind of makes my day again today...just remembering that. :)

On a musical note...I watched this band tonight. I'm friends with a few of the members. This video does not do them justice. Their live show is great. I smiled and laughed the entire time. Very funny and the music isn't what you usually expect to see. Lot's of gay people too but you might expect that with them. That shit doesn't bother me at all.

I don't know what that means but they were very entertaining. Friends of mine from various bands play in that band, as well as our high school marching band leader. Like I said...the video doesn't do them justice. Their entire set is hilarious and loving.

U-Haul Lesbians are a real thing! That's why the song is so funny.

Question: What does a lesbian bring on a second date?
    Answer: A U-Haul.
U-Haul lesbian or U-Haul syndrome is a stereotype of lesbian relationships,[1] referring to the joke that lesbians tend to move in together on the second date. It suggests an extreme inclination toward monogamy or committed relationships. It can be considered both complimentary and pejorative, depending on context.[2][3] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U-Haul_lesbian

The funny thing is that I probably should have heard of that term before but ...around here...we just sit around the campfire and kind of accept one another without the need for explanation. I guess it doesn't come up in conversation because it doesn't have to....I suppose. My friends are mostly pretty good people. I was raised to love them all. I've been monitoring my daughters FB content and she is one impressive little girl (based on her opinions). I'm very proud of who she is (as well as her brothers). Hate can rub off but so can love.

I might actually go outside and do some mowing today. Its kind of cool and not raining.

If I don't soon attack it out there, I'm going to have to get a sling-blade.

When my sister was single and dating we would always tease her that it could end up being a UHaul moment. :) Thankfully she was more of a moving company kind of gal. :)

Wet, cool and miserable here today. Went from having the air on constantly for two weeks to wondering if I need to put the furnace on for the bird. Oh Canada....... :)

One morning having just woke up from my sleep, I was amazed to see at the end of the bed a glowing orb, which looked roughly about 8 inches in diameter at a guess. The orb was stationary and was floating roughly about 6 feet in mid air. The orb was semi transparent and glass like in appearance, with thin strands of beautiful colours slowly moving with a swirling movement throughout it. This orb has to be the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my whole life, and what struck me the most about it was how incredibly beautiful it looked. While I was staring at it I had the impression that it had some kind of intelligence, it seemed very much alive I guess. This apparition lasted for about 2 minutes before it slowly faded from view.
Because it was early morning at the time and the curtains weren't fully closed, there was plenty of light in the room and yet the orb was bright enough to be easily seen.

When you see something like that it really has an effect on you, it certainly did with me.

I've been home alone all day. Sewing curtains for my daughter.
