it looks fairly easy but i suppose like most tools you first need to make one and use it to find its flaws then build another better one and another even better one until it works best

I think the trick is establishing the baseline. You have to get that first or second cut straight.

That is interesting. Glad I noticed you sharing that! I miss half the stuff in threads like these :p

Some schools are skipping cursive writing here too and also (just like there I reckon) some are doing everything on a tablet now... Those are still exceptions though. Tablets are used in lot of schools in the netherlands now, just not all the time.

Around here they aren't teaching cursive anymore either. Judging by how they print, I'm not sure they are teaching penmanship whatsoever. :-( About 5 years ago, I worked with a girl that had just graduated high school. She was a waitress and I would have to read her orders. GODALMIGHTY I thought I was going to lose my mind...I promise on all good things I could write better than her when I was in the 2nd grade. My son could write better than her by the time he finished 1st grade.

I guess they think between computers and spell check, that's all anybody will ever need...and then you have texting language, which certainly doesn't encourage anybody to learn how to spell anything.

Somehow I'm doubting colleges are going to be so lax with the spelling and punctuation; but, then perhaps those that will go to college will have the desire to at least spell correctly, write in complete sentences and punctuate.

typing skills are far more important these days than cursive........

    the job interview

''can you enter data on a computer''

''no but I can write it all down for you if you speak slow enough''

    ''can you sling a mop?''

    ''yes''

''you can have the janitor job...we wil hire a typer for the 70 thousand a year typing needed job''

The young people I know that can barely write also use the good old hen-pecking method for typing.

Those that I know that can actually type ALSO can print and even write in cursive. WOW!

However, let it be noted that if ANYBODY gets busted for even simple possession in SC they can hang up getting that job where typing up to 75 wpm counts...I know.

another time i was backing out of a parking space and an old lady blasts into the parking lot like a maniac and blocks me halfway out just laying on her horn for me to move out of her way

i got out and got right in her face and used up about 10 years worth of curse words nice and quietly so the people around didnt hear much

she was terrified and stunned but that bitch really deserved it

i actually expected police to track me down because i used the "dont piss me off because i have no family no kids and nothing to lose " line which is kind of a death threat the way i said it

(i usually avoid them because they are never simple)

and of course dude shows up and has a trans line leaking like a sieve

then when everything is done and fixed he wants me to grease everything ffs
