There was weird squawking sound in the woods so I went to check it out and it was a baby raven learning to fly.

Were you able to get it out?

I get so many of those in my hands all the time. I always have to put neosporin on afterward to keep them from getting infected.

I had a splinter a couple of years ago that the skin grew over. That was painful, had to get somebody else to pick at it with a needle :svengo:

When I was a kid my Dad would always pick big spliters out for me and it was horrible, because he would always use iodine to burn the bacteria out. Fire may have been less painful.:D

My foot got infected a few years ago and I got a fever and chills so I had to take anti-bacterial shots. That was much more expensive than neosporin, but I'm sure there are much cheaper ways.

when I sliced part of the tip off one finger with a razor knife, I ran it under water, pushed the piece back into place, wrapped some cloth around it and then a layer of duct tape... three days later it was a faint red line around it... besides a slight dent where I mis-aimed putting it back, you can't really notice it...

I don't recommend that for everyone, but for me, I heal like mad... lol

I've heard about using duct tape before, but have never tried it. Sounds like it worked like a charm except for the miss-aimed part.:D

random fact: I just realized I haven't eaten breakfast yet and it's almost noon.

I get a lot of metal splinters...I bought some rare earth magnets that are really strong and work great for pulling them out
