    i can make a great corn fritter...its the only way i can ingest creamed corn but i dont think they make you silly

    well there is nothing worse than an incomplete slut

    the critical mass type or the churned type:D

    i just got back from shopping for the weeklies.... for the first time in years, i went by car... it's so much easier...

    i don't buy corn... i have a severe intolerance to it :(

    i always find everyones' posts, updating the weather etc, soothing... i don't know what temperature it is here today.... it's cooler and there's been some rain, but it is not what i would call cold...

    i've never thought of making butter with goats milk... wonder what it tastes like...

    Well, except that we didn't add any salt or coloring to it, neither Nic or I noticed a difference between it and 'normal' butter...

    And we actually prefer it without any salt added.

    i am leaving to try and start my new truck 400ish k away....bbad...i may be calling on your expertise...i dont anticipate a problem with the new serpentine install...i will be with someone talented with all thibgs mechanical...also he owned a dakota too....the damn hood latch is seized....i couldnt get the hood open in january and it was too cold too work outside anyway.....is there a secret to opening a seized latch....any other advice on starting the truck will help...it has been sitting for 6 months or so

    i almost hit a baby partridge..mom crossed the road and all of a sudden these tiny babies come running out of the bush behind her...i managed to swerve and one of them went right between the wheels but i missed him

    My daughter and the little monster came for a visit today and I took the little monster on a 4 wheeler ride. He likes riding through the water puddles...:)

    It's sunny and 80f.

    the hood latch can usually be opened with a long screwdriver or a hook made from a clothes hanger..they all have some kind of lever in behind that needs to be pulled towards the drivers side...

    you wont get help with a no-start ...too many variables...my best advice is giant booster cables if the battery is dead...dont evn bother if you have crappy little ones

    i just learned a week ago that booster cables are color coded..the yellow is 4 cyl...i will buy heavier ones...blue i think....the truck was upkept by my brother until the belt snapped...it was running perfect so i hope it will start...

    i have very good luck with my vehicles...i once went 3 days with a shoestring for a fanbelt haha

    The belt broke on my lawn mower Monday, luckily hubby had already bought one and fixed it...He sure is handy to have around...:)

    check all the pulleys...especially the alternator ...myabe the old belt broke for a reason ...and look for stickers under the hood..they almost all have a map to show you the way the belt should be routed

    what's creamed corn?! I always here Americans talking about it, is it literally corn in cream?

    I started the first day of my juice detox diet, I feel healthy but I WANT FOOD!!!!!!!

    Creamed Corn Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 large onion, finely chopped
    • 2 Tbsp butter
    • 8 ears corn, husks and silk removed
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
