yea lots. The radio plays them all the time (I live in Canada) He's alright, but I find him so technical that it loses feel ya know? Like Steve Vai's guitar playing. Comes across as lacking feeling.

I wouldn't go over to America and start talking with an American accent. I know Hugh Laurie as he is, I can't get used to him playing an American.

Heh, he sounds like such a tool on house

I still remember him as the prince regent, before all this 'i'm so cool, look at me' bullshit :rolleye:

Well here's the bottom line, Tipsy me gel: I didn't know that Hugh Laurie was a Brit until last week, and my reaction was, "No way!"

And speaking of Brits who speak outstanding American, Helena Bonham Carter also gets the job done.

That's funny. When I hear his 'real' accent I always think how poor and unconvincing it is.

No no. He is a great drummer. I'm just a person who prefers sloppiness. Like Bob Dylan's old tracks that were out of time and his guitar wasn't ever in tune, as opposed to his newer stuff. Different strokes is all I'm saying. :)

Seems to me it's probably harder for an American or Canadian to do a Brit accent - seems like the Brits are pretty sensitive to accents. Even the old-time impersonator Rich Little couldn't fool them.

I see what you're saying. You like the smokey flophouse atmosphere. :D You'd probably like Tom Waits, then.

I do yes. Others have told me before that I'd like him. I'll have to make a mental note to check him out. I'm a big Joe Cocker fan. Sloppy gritty, same with Bob Segar. I LOVE old blues and sketchy stuff like that. Those black bluesmen from the 1930's who had the most rusty, voices like they were mixing cement in their throat, I really dig that kind of blues.

I once got high (on psychedelics) and listened to both discs back to back of the 'Jesus Christ Superstar' soundtrack. It was mind blowing and incredibly exciting at the time.
