My dad had COPD.

I've got a couple of friends who have it.

Heavy air pollution can be an irritant and cause an exacerbation of symptoms.

Cold viruses and bacterial infections are more often the cause. They have to keep up with flu shots and pneumonia shots and avoid people who are obviously sick with colds.

It's wise for a person with COPD to stay indoors if air pollution or pollen counts are high. Home air conditioning and heating systems must have regular filter changes.

Cigarette smoke is a no-no.

Perfume or air fresheners can be awful.

Any chemical fumes like paint, and even some cleaning products can be bad.

Smoke and fumes from cooking can sometimes set them off. My dad use to get real sick after he'd cook bacon all morning at the church's men's club breakfasts. He said it was like the grease in the bacon smoke would coat his insides because the little hairs weren't there to keep it out.

Factories, exhaust from cars, lawn mowers, etc., and fumes at gas pumps are not good.

Dusty homes and alot of pet dander isn't good.

Even extreme heat or extreme cold can be a trigger.

Yeah, they've got it rough.

Speak of COPD and fires...I used to have neighbors who lived downstairs from me. I don't think they wanted to pay to get their trash removed, so they would simply burn everything. Plastic bottles, aluminum cans, anything. Drove me batty, the smoke and smell was toxic.

I don't have COPD, but if I did, maybe I would have gotten around to calling the authorities. I didn't bother, because I was merely wandering through the area.

 

Cut down 1/2 a dead Elm tree.... Technically not half, it was the smaller part, but I'll get quite a bit of firewood out of it. Now... getting it down to the house is another story.


The warmer weather is nice, but the change in barometric pressure is kicking my ass.

 

The neighbor here burns household trash several times a week. It and she are awful.

 

bitch dont want to pay her share of rent so I canceled the cable. fuck this shit, Im not going to be shelling out my money for everything here.. goddamn freeloading drunk ..

tired of hearing the Im going to quit drinking and go to the gym. followed by Ill clean up later after I drink and sleep.. fuck this shit. pig hasnt cleaned since shes been in this house.. no wonder she cant get an apartment .. shes looking for a trip to the magistrate . I really cant put up with it anymore.. she stayed her sisters for a couple days, was nice and peaceful here. Im not in love with her anymore. to much to deal with, to many lies, to much drunk shit daily, breaking things, almost setting a fire, dont clean up after herself, and certainly cant cook for shit.

 

Orison, you have alot on your plate with both the women in your house.

We've talked about this for a long time.

Tell Kimberly to hit the bricks. She's able to care for herself.

Maybe your mother won't act out in the manner she has been if Kimberly isn't there.

You've got to cool things down up there.

We don't want you suffering.

 

Ive found a new place to live for myself.. Im just waiting for dude to finish remodeling and painting .suppose to be done mid march.. both these clowns can have this house. its away from here, kinda pricey but thats what Im working for. time for me to enjoy my life, not giving up my life for others anymore. been there done that. time for me to worry about me and me first..

 

in other news, ,bout to buy a car from the guy my original car come from. 02 cavalier. its just a beater. its in good shape other than some paint problems. 72k on it. $1,800 but he said hed give it to me for 15.. I kinda want it to take up space in my lot and street, fuck everyone else. ME ME ME ..

I've had a tough time keeping my head on straight for the last few days. Some days I feel like such a fucking asshole...even when I might not be. I'm an asshole for even thinking my problems are anything like people with more serious problems.

Spent the last few days making batches of soup to freeze. Made beef vegetable, turkey vegetable, leek and potato and pea and ham. My sister is going in for dental surgery and put in a request for soups. I froze 18 large containers of soup so we should all be good for a while.

Mia just returned from Cuba and was stunned by how much snow we had while she was gone. I told her not to worry too much as we are getting a lot more this week. Some how she did not look happy about that news.
