Anyways.... Early this afternoon I met the new neighbor. The guy that bought the 20 acres the lady in Germany used to own. Seemed a nice enough guy at first, was up here with a couple of boys and two friends, understood survey markers and property lines. One thing he asked was did I mind hunting and shooting guns. I told him I wasn't a fan of it and I don't hunt, also for some reason my PTSD came up at some point in the conversation. The boys were out in the field with a 22.. Figured they were talking about plinking some cans down in the woods. I just mentioned that there's a lot of hidden houses out there.

About 1/2 hour later the semi-automatic 30 round capacity guns start going off... Besides a .223 or two they had some huge fucking gun with the same semi-auto capability but sounds like a damned cannon. Shook my windows. Now, they were between my house and my next door neighbors house. About 500 feet from me and maybe 300 feet from my neighbor's place. Fuckin' loud and un-necessary. Granted they were not hunting so they were not breaking any laws in Ohio, but this is bullshit.

I had already changed into work clothes, so now I look like the freaky, unstable PTSD guy that lives alone in the woods (I resemble that statement) so I go out the front door, through the woods and up through the muddy field, unarmed, walk up to these three Rambo wannabe's and very calmly say, 'You're NOT going to be doing this every weekend." He starts going off on his 2nd amendment shit rant, and it's his property,yadda yadda, and the laws in Ohio bullcrap. I pointed at my neighbors house and my house and I said again. "You are NOT going to be doing this every weekend" turned around and walked back home. There was complete silence after that for the rest of the day...

I worked security for Reese Witherspoon's movie production once upon a time. It was the filming of Wild. At one point I was in charge of guarding a cottage where a few scenes took place. I got to see some behind the scenes action whichever as pretty cool. There were lots of props I was responsible for looking after once the film crew cut the reel, packed up and left me all alone in this cottage full of props. Including Reese Witherspoon's drugs her character did, and a fake dead horse. There was a bong, marijuana, some pills, a pipe that I couldn't identify, and cocaine all left behind for me to look after. And they left it all for me. I didn't touch any of it, because I knew I'd get in so much trouble, but man was it tempting to try Reese's drugs.

My daughter was in a accident last week, some school kid hit her when she was picking up her kids at school. Hit the driver door. No one was hurt, but it scared my granddaughter. They had no car insurance. Luckily she has full coverage...

 

I'm glad the accident wasn't serious, country girl.
