Yes, but I wear those swedish ones. But lots of guys still wear those typical dutch clogs here too (more so in the countryside). My brother wears them a lot around the house.

Abusing his meds

 

Actually, he slept way too late yesterday, was grouchy and mean as all hell until he "caught up" on his meds = got loaded on some make up doses for what he missed while he was oversleeping.

 

Spent the morning doing nothing and am on a trend for doing the same this afternoon. I am hoping to carry that over to all evening too.

 

goofy dream of me driving this truck up a steep grade and I couldnt make it, so these people stop by and help me, and I put the truck in the back their car. (it was a big truck) lol ... so we're at their place having some coffee watching tv, that was in color and black and white..

I blame Andy Griffith .. when Barney got the motor cycle from the surplus, he was pulling trucks over going 40 in the 35.

 

The next two weeks are going to be crazy for me.

Tomorrow morning, Hubby has to drive the dil to the airport for a 7 a.m. flight;

I have to go over and get all four girls off to school; the first bus arrives at 6:45.

then we have to load Piper in the car and take a drive to the vet out in the rural part of the county. Wait with her in the car, as a drop in at the mobile vet between 10:00 and 2:00;

but we can't stay that long because we have to be home by 2:30 to get the triplets off the bus;
then we have to help with getting them, or the 13 yr. old, to ball practice, possibly.

Tuesday, we only have to go over and get the kids off to school in the morning, do the afternoon thing with them, cover practice if we need to;

And do it all again on Wednesday; then pick up the dil from the airport at 11:00 p.m.

Thursday should be back to our normal with only dealing with the girls after school.

Friday, the grandson has a school holiday so he will be dropped of here at 7:15 a. m. and not go with his other grandmother until 5:30 p.m.

He is also out of school and will be here on Monday; the girls are out of school that day as well;

then he goes back to his mom and back to school on Tuesday.

The girls have all of that week off.

It's going to be unusual because I normally go to bed around 3:00 a.m. and get up by 11:00 a.m.

 

Yay!

We got a reprieve on taking the dil to the airport in the morning. She said she was flying out Monday, in a text message to us. She neglected to say "Monday, the 22nd".

Ah...Better, I think.

even here the ice is too thin this year....they even cancelled the pond hockey tournament this year to be safe ....we didnt get enough cold days before the heavy snow and the ice is weak and slushy under all that insulating snow

around here its usually caused by parking tickets

the people who live near the access points lobby the city for no parking zones so they dont have cars and trailers parked everywhere ...


in the winter if youre on the ice near the launch they cant give tickets because they have no authority on the lake

 

Doesn't change the "one stupid guy" aspect though...

 

Coffee time then wash clothes, put the leftovers away, clean the pots and dishes, refill 3 dozen water bottles and put them in the freezer.

 

Honestly, this is the best advice!
