Random Facts 58

Here is an awesome random story I heard this evening......a woman who works with my wife was telling her that years ago her grandma was a nurse at a hospital. She was leaving work one day and got into a pretty serious car accident in front of the hospital. She broke both of her legs but she realized that there was a baby in the other car. She managed to get out of the car and get to the baby. Her actions...with two broken legs....were credited with saving that babies life that day.

Fast forward to many years later....my wife's coworker was talking to her in-laws one day and they told her a story about her husband she had never heard. When he was 4 months old he was in a car accident and a nurse who broke both of her legs in the accident saved his life. It was the same accident. Her grandmother saved her husbands life when he was 4 months old. Small world!! (and they weren't even from the same town or state...which makes the odds even crazier)

She heard her grandma say for years that she wished she knew what became of that baby. Unfortunately, by the time they figured all of this out, her grandmother was on her deathbed and not responsive so she never was able to tell her.

 

Small world indeed...

 

You want to hear some bullshit? You are entitled to see your credit report once a year for free.....but you don't get to see your actual credit score unless you pay them. I seem to remember finding this out about 7-8 years ago and thinking they can fuck off with their "score". But you do kind of need it.

 

Fuck that....

 

I might have the last coat of paint on the ceiling, might do one more... I'll sort that out tomorrow.

Got my measurements for the faux ceiling beams, out of four only one is different... That makes life a little bit easier.


Cutting the pieces in the garage on the other hand.... It's fuggin' cold out there. I'll do the finish work and staining inside, but the rough cuts and thin pieces require the table saw and skil saw so that's all garage work.


Still have decided if I want to put one more coat of paint on before I install the beams.

 

Gotta rip a 10 1/2 foot 1X4 board into thin strips on the table saw... This should be fun.

other good news in my life...my gum completely healed now...no skin graph at all....YAY!....quick heal...always have been....

 

If that furry little bugger does not give the right answer I may have to go granny on him.
