    Plowing snow is driving...

Anyways... I found a pair of new ski gloves today at Goodwill. They will be better than what I was wearing yesterday.

I kind of meant driving in a car where you are protected. I know you knew that! :)

Glad you found a warmer pair as frozen hands are painful and then they tend to freeze all the time.

those kind of comments are why I don't post guitar videos anymore....we all know strings can go out of tune...ive seen eric Clapton tune his guitar during a song......plus numerous others

you guys don't have to point out how great your axes are compared to mine...or my playing skills and obviously my tuning skills

    ffs

It used to freak me out, there were several times SRV would strum a chord before a song, notice a string was out of tune and just start the song anyways and bend that string to compensate for it being out... And Hendrix would just make tuning part of the act.

Since the fire my replacement guitars are just cheapo knock offs... other than one that survived, badly burned but still plays. I even left the same strings on it that it had that night. There are a couple of Epi's that I didn't think would make it but was able to resurrect those also... But, Yeah... mostly I've got Squire and Epi stuff. They do the job.

Generally a better quality guitar can stay in tune better than a cheapo but there's a lot more to it than that.

What comments? About guitars staying in tune? It's not like mine never go out of tune but they usually hold up pretty well. That isn't really slamming anyone else's guitars. We all probably have guitars that aren't as nice as others.

And I would love to see videos of you (or anyone else) playing. Maybe we should start a video thread in the musicians forum.

WELL my guitar un-tunes fairly easily because - the strings are ?? years old and need to be replaced very badly. :) Since I play with NO regularity, I don't think about how badly I need to get those strings until I read about this kind of stuff.

I've had 2 guitars and neither was expensive whatsoever...the 1st one was pawned but it never went double digit years without new strings.

My favorite acoustic I have is the first guitar I ever owned. Cost about $300-350 new. I learned how to play on it and then my son learned on it years later. I've upgraded the tuning keys and had some other work done to it but it still isn't anything fancy or expensive by any measure. But it stays in tune very well. :)

Somebody wants to come visit me in the morning and I don't really feel like I want them here on short notice, etc.

I mean...Well, he's seen me and my house at our worsts...I use to sleep with him....but...

    I just wasn't expecting a visit and

No. I don't really want you to drop by in the morning.

    I'm not good at this.

So far I've just asked "What time?" and not gotten a reply...

Fuck, I wish I could hide.

Okay, we're going to Waffle House instead of him coming here.

    I know y'all were worried!
