37 more members since my last post. Probably 37 more by the time I get done typing this. Lots of people thinking we already lost the bridge. It's caused me to actually post on FB (which I rarely do) in numerous threads on the page. Like....everyone should relax...the bridge isn't going anywhere. It's stable and we have plenty of time to decide what we are going to do as a community. People are getting way ahead of themselves by already talking like they will get private money on board (good thing) and start building tomorrow (naive). There are a lot of issues that will need to be addressed before any rebuilding can start. That's just the reality of it.

 

537 tonight. I'm beginning to see the possible reason why there was once an effort to elect me mayor.

my dog is strange.
half the time he won't eat his dry kibble regardless of how long it's been since he last ate, but if I mix a little bit of shredded cheese in the bowl with it, he'll empty the bowl. :dizzy2:

Humm, random fact about me is that I noticed that the random fact of the person being thought of as the random behavior of a dog
And that randomness is in attention.

That group has been up for less than 24 hrs.....1275 people and adding more every hour. The county is aware of this effort. I don't think this is something that is going to go away.

 

I was hungry and went to the store to buy something to cook. I got home and decided to grab a cheese stick before I started cooking. I sat down to open the cheese stick and started shaking with low blood sugar. I hate how fast that stuff hits.

 

Also how lousy it makes you feel and for how long. Once your sugar level goes off it can take a while for it to balance again.

 

I think I caught this one quick enough. I was just a couple of hours until I felt relatively normal.

Wiz, I know how you feel. When I moved back to my hometown in 87', I used to like going to an area south of town (called stringtown) to look at the old houses here and there from the 1800s and early 1900s, some of which my people built, lived in. My dad and uncle were born in one of them in 1908 and 1910 and my gramma was born in one in 1884. A group of high school kids started burning them down and now that history is gone. The house is gone, but some old, old corrals that the Hays family (My family) built are still there. Damn shame, that. Good luck on your bridge re-construction. Sounds like you'll 'git 'er done.

 

Heard a noise on my front porch last night. Got up, opened the door---4 raccoons eating cat food! My cat will absolutely NOT come in the house
lately, so I put the food out there. Can't happen. She's going to have to come in--at least to eat. One came after me, but I dissuaded him with
a tap on the noggin. Not enough to hurt him, but dammit---raccoon shit on the porch ain't gettin' it.

 

recharged my car a/c and it seems to be ok...

i hope it doesnt leak out (engine was out when i bought it so i have no idea if it was leaked out or emptied properly)

i used a dye charge so at least if it does leak i can find out where

 

I had a nice surprise this morning as Kieran came into spend the day with me. We did errands and had a really nice late lunch out and I dropped him back at his dad's to finish the last weekend of their holiday time.

I will be happy when they are back home on Monday and the house is busy again. Will still be a little less busy than before though as Jaz (my niece) is starting university out of the city and she has been living here for the last three years. Changes.
