I have no idea what has happened to anybody I went to school with....

 

Well, Facefuck can hook you right up with all kinds of stuff you never wanted to know about people from your past.

 

I know what's going on with most of my old classmates because I still see them all the time.


I'm pretty angry this evening. I found out that one of our icons in this area was damaged. I don't know how bad it is yet but we have a certain bridge here that is an institution for many of us. It dates back to the stagecoach era and all of us have grown up with it. It's called Wagon Wheel and it was beautiful. Anyone who has grown up here has definitely said something like "Yeah...I'll meet you guys at Wagon Wheel at 9". It's one of our most beloved landmarks. A wood planked bridge that has been around since before anyone alive remembers.

Some fucking assholes set it on fire. I am so pissed about this! How can you fucking burn Wagon Wheel? Really? Why would someone do that? It's a landmark and one of the oldest bridges in our state.

I will never understand why some people want to destroy beautiful things (such as that old wooden bridge) for no reason.

I will never understand how some people think they can (and do!) ride on my family's land at their leisure.

Little do some people know that my dentist has permission to go hunting down there when hunting season starts...and he won't be alone. (yes, I went there)

I like my dentist and I Do think that its time someone hunted down there - that is, someone with my permission that will run the other asses off.

 

I took a little detour on the way to work this morning to go see the bridge for myself. My son said "Why do you want to bum yourself out first thing in the morning?" Well...whether I go see it or not changes nothing. The good news is that it wasn't the entire bridge or anywhere close to it. The bad news is that the burned part is the beginning of the east end of the bridge and it burned until the first set of steel pylons. The steel frame begins there but the wood decking runs the entire span of the bridge.

I got there about 5 minutes before the county guys showed up with dump trucks and an excavator. It was charred but sound enough to walk on (and maybe even drive on) but the county's insurance company said it had to be removed. There are no current plans to rebuild it. The bridge will now be fenced off on the east end, ending abruptly with maybe a 10 foot drop.

The county guys were bummed too. We hung out for a bit, told a few stories and talked about the history and what it meant to us. It really was/is ours...and by ours...I mean very locally. You have to know your way around here to find it and many people from even nearby cities don't know it exists unless they've floated under it....and even then....they would probably have to ask someone how to get there. My wife lived her whole live in a city 10 miles east of here and she never knew it was there until I showed it to her when she moved here.

Anyway.....rambling again. What's done is done. I wonder if we could fix it if we funded it privately.

 

No harm in finding out if others are interested in doing funding drives and such to raise funds to repair it. Even contact some engineering firms and ask if they would donate the time to help with the project.

I keep in contact with a small close knit group of people that I grew up with...2 of them I talk to several times a week.....every month lately I hear about someone else we all knew being sick and dying.....it can be depressing...

ive to stop coming home from school and passing out sleepy nap.. i dont know why I fall asleep. its kinda weird ..
doggy is doing good no potty in house the whole time i was out, going on a 4day stretch now.. might be broken finally . granted the ceramic bowls are in her way but Ill slowly start taking one away at a time , shes been laying on the new carpet more and playing with her toys there too.. to much old dog on the last carpeting also. almost a year to the day when Booboo passed away. hes never forgotten, I tell Julie to get Booboo all the time.

As you can imagine....the bridge is the talk of the town this evening. Just texted a redneck friend to see if he heard any rumors through the people he knows. He has not but he said if they find out who did this....they will be getting a serious ass kicking. I'm sure plenty of others feel the same. If even a peep of the truth leaks out....it will spread like wild fire around here and I wouldn't at all be surprised if there is some vigilante justice.

They didn't just piss off one group. They pissed off everyone.

 

2 dudes on daytime cbc tv...they have a talkshow...married to each other......on everyday like 6 times on cable on various stations

ive seen the steve and chris show more than a few times. it was ok, i actually liked chris more than steve. one time they was gluing something and chris was acting buzzed on it.. he was the funny one ..

he was the funny one for sure...they said he was found dead in an alley but they aren't looking for suspects or witnesses.....maybe he had a bad heart or he did it to himself?.....he seemed to classy to pick an alley though
