like when the little "code enforcement " bitch was regularly sending notices and threats about the lawn not being emerald green to me and others. After a year of this shit and the city sending notices about not using too much water because of the drought, a bunch of people went to city hall and basically said "What The Fuck!!!! Which is it, green lawns or drinking water!!!"

Haven't seen that little troll bitch driving around for almost 9 months now :D

and I now just got a notice saying they are going to start monitor watering lawns and hand out fines and shit. Like you can only water on certain days and times, etc.

about fucking time these morons woke up and realized the southwest has been in drought conditions for almost A FUCKING DECADE NOW!!!!!

Dude...if I lived where you live...I would seriously fucking snap. A few years ago the city sent some guys around to install something in our basements that would allow the city to read the meters electronically somehow. Maybe just drive by instead of actually going to each house? That was my understanding. So they wanted to get in my basement to install it. But then they said each house had to pay like $240 or something. I told them to go back and tell whoever sent them that they could either pay for the installation or come read the meter in person. The guy tried to get stern and say they had a right to install it on a city water line. I told him that the city didn't own shit in my basement and if they wanted to install it on the city line...they can dig up the city line on the parking and put it wherever they wanted. I was under no obligation to let them on my property at all. That was the last I ever heard about that.

those installations of the e-meters where later billed to us over time. the lowest of water bills in the city is 60$ imagine poverty having to pay 60$ just to shit a month.. a city with 3 Rivers ..

Funny thing...when my city started that code enforcer position...technically a position in the police dept....there were a number of city officials who wanted me to apply for the job...despite how much shit I've given them for years. I must be the last person you would ever want to hire to be in a position to respect authority and yet...they wanted me to do that job. First of all...get real. I don't give a shit about that job and to even get me to the table, they would have to agree to buy my business for market value and pay me what I get paid now. I have no intention of being their prick for whatever they're paying that guy. That guy's job sucks.

I'm currently listening to this Phish jam live from tonight's show. It sounds much more GDish than I've think I've ever heard them sound like. I think I'm looking forward to Alpine. I wondered how the GD experience would effect Trey's playing. He put a lot of work into that.

One thing I read that I was pretty impressed with was...he didn't just try to figure out how to sound like Jerry. Lot's of players can probably figure that out. Trey spent a long time researching and thinking about all of the players who influenced Jerry and then tried to understand those influences. All of the old folk players, jazz players, players that nobody really thinks much about on a daily basis these days. Trey studied them because Jerry did and then he tried to listen to the music and see how it influenced Jerry. That's a damn impressive approach in my mind.

And...holy fucking shit...Phish is playing Dark Star right now. Damn!

We've been through probably more than a decade of the even-odd watering days and we have the e-meters in the water boxes at the street.

This is probably just the 2nd Summer that we haven't had the even-odd watering days. We still have a burning ban from May 1st - October 1st.

On an odd note about politics....a few years back there was a grassroots write-in push to try to make me be the mayor. I had no interest in doing that but some people mistakenly thought they could force that to happen if they had the votes. They tried to convince me that I would be obligated to do it if the voters decided that I should be in charge. I should be in charge but I don't want to do it. And the vote failed because I wanted nothing to do with it.

We have always had a well...its a deep one too.

Then several years ago, the city began calling regularly - for about 2 or 3 months - wanting us to hook into the city line and pay for their chemically treated water. :D They were told in no uncertain terms that WE HAVE A WELL and there is NO WAY IN HELL we are going to pay for what we already have!

This was one of those instances where they kept calling and wouldn't listen to me tell them off or rather they were determined not to heed what I was saying; but after Mama told them off [IMG] they quit calling.

random facts...I had some strange dreams last night....pieces relating to each other and not relating to each other....but woven toegether in a kaleidoscope tapestry nonetheless.....images and feeling stayed with me all day.....

On top of long concrete stairs in many sections...someone falls down them and i see their feet in the air and turn to Stan and tell him to go help them...quick.....and then I am in front of a massive university gated and made out of stone....It was a monolilith building...i was in awe and stood outside the gate afraid to enter in...a stranger was moving past me to inside the gates...telling me they were going to apply there and get in....It was some sort of business college but had an old castle ivy league feel....... I stayed outside too afraid to approach within...then I am in a water town with shops and restaurants all in a row and I was happy there....i was taking a boat across to see the house that was built halfway under water.....and someone lived ther.e...another stranger I never saw before....then realizing my birds were not taken care of while I was away and had no food and water for days.......and i was trying to feed them and give them water and Zee, my old grey cat, that we had put to sleep here, as our vet told us to, it was time...he died a few years ago...walked by and I was telling some strangers...that is my cat that died...and they all thought me crazy, and then Zee walked by again and i said..."Do you see that grey cat?"...and they said they did......
and then I was getting in some rich pink sports car with the wheel on the other side than Americans have....someone else was there, and i did not know them either.

    strange musings, all right....:p

i'm always exploring places in mine, when there's no one to tell me not to, and i'm usually in places where no one is.
then sometimes i'll meet people. almost always that i've not met before.
things change in my hand when i pick them up. not for better or worse. just different.

no harvards, but lots of winchester mystery houses.
    and community college cafateria buffettes,
and knowing which buses and trains go where.

it helps that i didn't grow up in cities.
those in my dreams have lots of public transportation and parks
and places that don't are a long way from where there are a lot of people.

forest mostly. that's what a world would be that didn't have too many people.
not that there's anything that isn't ever in them
but in ways that are strange and interesting
and that itself to me i usually find fun

To be clear....the effort to make me mayor was probably going to fail whether I supported it or not.....but I didn't support it. I would hate doing it. I'd hate people bothering me all the time. I'd hate all of it. Plus, the people running my city aren't doing very bad...aside from my few minor issues with them.

People see you as a strong personality, a no-bullshit leader, Wiz.

    Those are sought after qualities.
