August 8th - My long lost fwb is coming to spend some time with me..lunch w/his mother, an evening out, and a night in.
I'm a happy woman.

 

i dont even think I broke a sweat cutting the grass. nice breeze too out there.

 

We sometimes get your weather down here in a day or two. I hope we do this!

 

I was looking for a link to a story about it but I was immediately reminded that so many people die in Chicago that a dude getting killed at work probably wouldn't even make the news. But the kid was running a forklift with no cage and unloading a truck. My brother said it's a forklift that you stand up on while using it. He thinks the guy was heading back in the trailer (on a loading dock) going way too fast and somehow the truck moved away from the dock as he entered it.....far enough away that the forklift fell off the dock and down behind the truck before the truck rolled back again. The guys head must have got caught between the truck and the dock or the forklift and the truck...or something like that.

 

Does the grumpy old man know about this?

I made 4 quarts of black walnut dye by letting 30 pounds of black walnuts soak in water for a little over 2 years......I will use it for dying some wool that my daughter will spin into ayarn and make me a hat

some of it iwill print some shirts and some I will dye some shirts...a white shirt becomes an earthy brown...very nice color

had two cars towed off my property earlier. then I waited for them to show up after work. looking all puzzled wheres my car.. in the pound. whether my little signs are obscured by weeds. private property is private .. gtfo and S/O,.

Okay, I went ahead and reminded hubby that fwb would be down this way. I'd told him before. Now, he knows the whole plan weeks in advance.

 

I paid some taxes early this evening.....didn't really mean to. Air-headed thing to do.

tyrant county got its occupation tax ,,. a fucking privileged tax they call it. yes, its a privilege to be raped for 50dollar..

I recently heard some bullshit about some people thinking there should be some kind of privilege tax on white people just for being born white.

 

its only a one time a year tax. occupation tax for the city of pissburgh.. 50$.. its the tax for being able to work in the city..

That's crap. I already pay property taxes. That's enough of an occupation tax. I think there would be some heated discussions around here if my city tried that.

Hell....I have lost my shit on the chief of police a few times over parking tickets in front of my own house....and I don't mean just a stern conversation. Long story but the policy is bullshit. They are well-aware of my opinion of it. The cost of the ticket isn't the point. It's the principle of it. I bet I've been ticketed at least 75 times...maybe more....and not even because I've been an asshole about it. Then I did kind of feel bad about ripping the chief a new asshole because I know he happens to agree with my points but he can't change the policy and the city won't. I have shot down...in flames....every single justification they've dreamed up for this policy. My next step was going be a signed petition from every homeowner affected by this and then possibly looking into suing the city if I had to. But...I've since just started parking behind the house so they can fuck themselves.

Then the "ordinance enforcer" tried to give me shit about that. I'm sure you guys can imagine how well that ended. I think he just decided he didn't want to fuck with me anymore. He's used to people worrying about him coming around.....not debating every single word that comes out of his mouth and using it against him.

 

And...if I sound like a dick...I kind of am sometimes but it's only when they provoke me with dumb shit. Then I call them out on it. Otherwise, I'm completely pleasant to them.
