Around the time I graduated high school. My girl and I used to panhandle for money at the streetside, then go off and spend that money on drugs. I felt crappy about doing it, but she and I made a good team. She was such a bad influence on me But I was in love for the first time in my life.
Now, it's time to find a priest, and go for a real confession. Just kidding! It's funny what we do when we're in high school, you know?
Not sure if this is a confession but one of the things I have to do in AA is list all my character defects and Jesus it's taking forever!
Aw. I'm sure you don't have that many. Do you think that AA is helpful to you? I've known a few people who seemed to get something out of it.
Eh, depends on your sponsor I guess and if you can find a good home group. I've had mixed results myself but have a bit more determination these days.
Are you a religious guy, Dice? I thought you mentioned that you hadn't been to church since you left home. Anyway, only reason I ask is, isn't AA pretty intertwined with religion?
I'm actually agnostic, lol. Some people let their religion slip into the program, particularly in the region I'm from. It's supposed to be more about spirituality. I'm trying to learn more about Buddhism.
I dabbled in Buddhism some in college. It's a fascinating philosophy but difficult to apply in our modern, hectic American lives. But it's definitely eye opening and thought provoking
Buddhism is beautiful. I'm spiritual, and I think there's something to glean from many philosophies, as opposed to clinging to one religion, but that's just me. I think you'll gain a lot from Buddhism, @tumbling.dice
Aside from potential poop (Ewww!), what makes that yoga different from other forms? I've never even heard of it!
The goats just walk around people doing yoga and maybe it creates a relaxing effect? Lol I’m not sure but google it or find a vid on YouTube to see it.
