It doesn't make it right and it's also not even close to true. Perhaps you are thinking about mcdonalds, which doesn't seem to care that 75% of employees my in my area cannot speak fluent english. A friend of mine went to apply for a job 3 or 4 years ago there, and was told that he would be hired at a management level because he was fluent in english. And that was 4 years ago!
My grandparents came here legally, and were detained at Ellis Island and had to go through a health examine to gain entry.
Hey my grandparents came thru Ellis Island too! As for my taxes going to those issues well if they get hurt taxes pay, if they get disabled we not only pay but also if needed bring their family here to assist them. We pay to gather up and deport them. We pay thru free medical clinics for them. Do I believe some sort of reform should be done, hell yes. Tyson Foods and the rest should be made to flip the bill for those caught in there employment. Put the burden on those exploiting thier labor.
Tyson, Walmart all Arkansas based companies that grew to mega porportions under Clinton. Democrat, Republican it makes no difference. It's who you know and how well you can pad their bank accounts. They will protect their interests at any cost. If you expect Bush to protect your borders think again. He has too many friends that benefit from illegal labor. We passed NAFTA under Clinton, amazing isn't it?
What I mean is small time business people profit from illegal labor, Its not just big companies. Small companies fly under the radar, the big boys call it "compliance issues"
