I want to see this in the AFL ( thats the one that looks like aerial ballet)
codes where they tackle are one thing but AFL we have a reasonably popular womans comp now and a lot of the players are full on, and bigger than some guys in the mens comp

cant see why the top chics cant make the mens comp

I support the transgender movement except for this part. A male-to-female transgender person competed in an MMA fight against someone who was naturally born a woman and completely broke her face/jaw. From what I read it was nasty. I’m not sure what the steps should be in sports with this but I honestly think it’s going to really negatively affect those born female. It’s to no fault of the transgender people but they in this case (or most cases) will have a superior advantage because they were born male. It’s a slippery slope.

Her story is awesome. I don’t think this will ever be the norm but she is just an impressive woman all across the board. I read her story from childhood and it got me choked up. She sounds like an amazing person who has really overcome so much and made history with her hard work, athletic ability and a strong will. Great role model.

The concerns are not about mens sports. They're about womens sports.

Anyway, the majority of cis men? The statement seems off in all aspects

Exactly. Trans men in women’s sports doesn’t affect men’s sports at all. It totally destroys women’s sports though. Putting biological men in women’s contact sports is promoting violence against women. It’s fucked up and wrong. Woke politics is a mental illness.

Lol This seems also an unneccesary conclusion. I would say it depends on the details (as most things). Attention for trans pro sporters is not retarded, but letting former men compete in women's competitions (how good the intention may be) is in so many instances so unwise I would also say its bordering on it.

I'm not sure, but I would not be suprised most actually are and that the lack of women in it has other reasons than simply not being allowed to join

also, aren't all motorsports not actually sports in the first place?

  12. It's amazing to me that anyone can make such an assumption based on a group that has been selected because they live according to their gender. As if they have no other differentiating qualities. One giant, monolithic bloc of thought.

Since the term itself has dubious origins outside of science or medicine, I don't take it seriously. It also tells a lot about someone who uses the term. But then, who dare use the "n" word (normal) these days? Only if you want a message box packed with idiots demanding you define "normal".

Dude, motor sports is one of the truest sports out there.

Motorsport, athletics, bull fighting and extreme sports are the only forms of true sport.... Everything else is merely a game..

Most females in Motorsport participate in smaller Speedway events, notnsonmuch your big time events and series. Danica Patrick had a big.sponsor behind and a following because she won ONE race by being so slow she didn't have to pitnfor fuel. At least Hailie Deegan can pass guys on the last lap for a win. :)

But notoriously, men have quicker reflexes and hand eye coordination, that's why Iove seeing what Hailie can do, I've been following her for a while now.

Your assessment that Voyager is on par or better than TNG is spurious, my Dutch friend. We must discuss.

I know stranger things have happened, but I absolutely agree with 6eyed 100% here. Trans men to women totally need their own league. The last example I quoted is just one reason why I think this. If the purpose of an athletic event is so that the "same sex" people with comparable abilities compete, it would ONLY BE FAIR to have all the trans men to women compete among themselves. Of course that is fair, and I realize things being fair is not what this old world has come to be about.

I know you are just saying that, right? lol That is and was a dude fo sho.

Yes!!! I used this quote because it so well points out the vast difference in strength between men and women - I DON'T CARE if they are or have transitioned "all the way"...the male to female trans person STILL AND YET has a huge advantage physically over the female. I have no problem with trans people, LGBT or anybody in between...I DO have a problem when an organization as prestigious as the Olympics makes such an idiotic move as to allow trans men to women to participate in the women's sports. That's stupid, and that I don't think I'm being biased, prejudiced or whatever...

It is what it is...and trans people need to be able to have their own league.

  17. There's also the length of time you're fighting a machine for control. A 500 mile drive in a couple of hours is serious work. At those speeds all the worst of shit can happen when all of the margins from distance to the other cars to tightness of the timing chain come into play.

The most reckless drivers I know, the ones who really take chances are mostly men. So it could be the aspect of risk is approached differently. Rally racers generally get pretty beat up on a course. My uncle had a dune buggy in the 60s and 70s. It was the classic candy apple red metal flake looks like a Hotwheel tacky as all hell fat tired machine. It would pull the front wheels off the ground. It also rammed my skull into the roll bar and the windshield frame more than a couple of times (Helmet schmellment).

I can only imagine doing it for so many hours straight. Usually in some broiling hell on earth or a icy mountain nightmare.

    Yea, fuck that.

Hmmmm, count me in as one that slightly prefers Voyager.

TNG is awesome, but a fair amount of kooky eps

  19. Seems like TNG had more sex. But TNG was too LONG and morphed into a soap opera, with transporters and Whoopie Goldberg. Voyager didn't seem to have so many "filler" episodes. Probably because they had a finite window of seasons (unlike TNG). Otherwise they'd just be Gilligan's island, with phasers and a large-breasted Borg being chased by a horny Asian Gilligan.

To the subject of the thread, what sports are women specifically better than men at performing? Perhaps that's a way to mitigate some of the effects of this latest blow to women's competitive sports.
