No Idea who this is attributed too but thought it was worthwhile: Being a musician isn't about perfection it's about passion. People don't go to shows to hear a perfect performance, they go to feel something. Maybe that is ironically why I never could perform. I was always to worried about no mistakes. And I forgot it was about conveying feeling for whatever emotion to a audience.
Recently read this but can't remember who. Matisse? Gaugin? "Art that does not begin with and driven by emotion is not Art."
