“Arguments, speculation—conspiracy theories of all kind. The usual thing, right? No one is ever simply assassinated anymore. Ever since the Kennedys, it is always a matter of how many stories you can invent to explain the same body of facts. That is the great pleasure of conspiracy theory—not explanation, but narrative. It is like Scheherazade.” - Kim Stanley Robinson

Today their came to me the conviction that I, or perhaps the only good part in me, that is music, has perished forever. My future life seems a mere vegetable existence.

Can anyone name the author of that Quote.?

Peter Capaldi isn't a Politician, although he did play one on the British TV series The THick of it. (Malcolm Tucker) He was also the 12th Doctor in the New Doctor Who Series. He was also a punk rock musician with a group called the Dreamboys back in the 60's :D

Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

It was the opening of one of around 2,000 letters exchanged between Tchaikovsky and his patron Madam Von Meck, who he never met.
I sometimes think that as Tatiana, in this aria from his opera Eugene Onegin, he was personifying his despair and who better to perform it than Anna Netrebko.
With his symphonies, ballets and concerto's obtaining such popularity over the years, few people ever realise that Tchaikovsky wrote 11 operas.

No wonder that I was confused.
For my sins and much to everyone's amusement, I did have to re-record the soundtrack of "Sid and Nancy". the critics called it a cross between punk rock and the sound of music.
I did explain that their was little point in making a film, where half of the dialog was drowned out by the background.
I always seemed to end up where angels feared to tread. My nickname in the film studios was "Professor", then someone added the prefix "Nutty" :D

Speaking of the British people and their empire:

"By adverting to the dignity of this high calling, our ancestors have turned a savage wilderness into a glorious empire; and have made the most extensive, and the only honourable conquests, not by destroying, but by promoting the wealth, the number, the happiness of the human race."
    -----Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)

"To be fair, 'No one asked us to be here. And now they are all mad.' is essentially British history in two sentences."
    -----John Oliver

"Think of it, magnets. Now all I know about magnets is this: Give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets, that's the end of the magnets." - Donald Trump

At a recent rally in Mason City, Iowa, Trump went on a rant about the frailty of magnets while complaining about the Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier.

Simply put: The ship has an electromagnetic aircraft launch system that relies on very large magnets.

Perhaps they should put Trump on a steel skateboard, put him on the launcher, then see whether the magnets were powerful enough to launch him into an orbit around the planet.
Elton Musk, could launch a few of his contraptions, for people to go up and wave to him. They would certainly be very busy. :D:D

Yeah, once he is strapped to a steel conveyance and sitting on a Rail gun launcher, I bet he prays to all the Gods in all the pantheons, and for every religion on Earth that the Magnets are weak and fail.

Perhaps his school did not teach electromagnetism.
He probably thinks that the only magnets are the ones on the back of his pictures, that he gives away for people to see his mug every time they open the fridge.
