"rebel" is not the appropriate word here since these folks are not from chad but are sudanese arabs who are supported by the sudaneses gov't and represent sudanese expansionist policies

This is correct, they are Chadians (in name only, their hearts belong elsewhere) opposed to the regime of President Deby. We have reason to believe the Sudanese government is funding and backing the rebels in an attempt to destabilise the Republic of Chad. We spit on them!
