question for all the sane people

Well my husband knows I spend a lot of time here because it's really my only socialization, what with being home with the kids 24-7. I talk to him about many people here, posts, all of that. And yes, as I've mentioned before, he's a member here as well, but he rarely ever posts. He belongs to several other forums, one for ex JW's (which I have nothing at all in common with not having been one myself!) and a gun forum (I hate guns, and he's all about exercising his constitutional right to bear arms, he's a collector of firearms just like all of the other men in his family, yadda, yadda, yadda!)

 

It wouldn't bother me at all if my husband started posting on these forums. I've really nothing to hide, and we're open with each other anyway that there are no secrets, so if he came here it wouldn't make a lick of difference to me. In fact, I'd encourage it.

i wouldn't want dave to post here. he would get banned immediately. which wouldn't bother him at all. plus there a lot of stuff i'm thinking through and bouncing off you guys. i wouldn't feel comfortable with him reading that.

I wouldn't want her to, I enjoy having htis place to consult those who aren't in my day to day life, and occasionally to get advice.

There have been times over the years where it was essential to have something separate from what was going on around me.

Plus, what if we broke up? that would suck

I do have to agree that certain people need to leave their personal chats to e-mails and IM's and stop wasting bandwidth.

 

I just dont get if you are married just go to the other room and proclaim your love in person.

I love that word... it's that imaginary space... and people talk about wasting it, you know... like it's something serious... yet it seems to never end, and no one other than skiparu really knows when it can possibly end...

Point being... bandwidth is silly... I think people need to keep their personal chats to e-mails and IMs in order to annoy me a tad less.

 

Yeah...bandwidth was just a good excuse to not say it's really fucking annoying when I could just ignore the threads altogether.

I think mods often say we are wasting bandwidth, its very technical , us commoners just dont understand that... we really have to respect the 'bandwidth decree'
