Vasoconstriction fucked me up (quite a lot of pain in my limbs) for awhile after I used hbwr seeds a few times. Not sure if the effects accumulated somehow, or what...but it wasn't pleasant! Also, gotta agree with the people saying LSA and LSD are very different drugs. Having had quite a few experiences with both, this seems obvious to me.
Here's another for the "very different" camp. For starters, LSD wakes you right up. LSA can be very lethargic when you get into intense dose ranges, I've fallen asleep on it more than once. LSA is a legitimate psychedelic, but it's side-effects, including putting you to sleep and vasoconstriction, limit how far you can take it. I would not tell you to not take LSA, I hope to do it again some day. But I would tell you that it will not "prepare" you for LSD, or any other psychedelic. I would also caution people trying to dip their toes into psychedelics that in my experience, this lets some people "fight" it, and can cause very serious problems, because of the obvious effects of running around on powerful mind-bending drugs while telling yourself that you're not being effected in whatever way. It.... bends your mind. Not in the good way. AND you won't get any sort of benefit from an underwhelming experience, something which the psychiactric literature agrees with me on -- people who started with lower doses in LSD assisted psychotherapy required much larger doses and more difficult trips in the end, to achive the same results. Of course I can't say this with any authority.... but I can't see LSA causing HPPD. You're talking about psychedelic drugs, some changes are part of the territory, but you won't see fractals everywhere after it, or anything..... hell, you won't even see fractals while you're ON lsa.... Also -- BL, bear in mind that anyone can make a documentary about how similar two chemicals are.... I could read wikipedia, interview some of my druggie friends, have a cop talk about the kids, and find a chemist to hold a picture of each molecule, and BAM, I have a convincing documentary about how LSA is natural LSD..... but it's just not. I'm not saying that it's not a serious thing and should be taken lightly or used by kids or anything, but I am saying that it's not even close to being like LSD, and that it's really NOT going to be as serious. Someone who takes too much acid will be dragged to the emergency room by their clueless parents and shot up with tranquilizers in a terrifying environment, someone who takes too much LSA will puke and fall alseep. PS -- LSA also has the inexplicable "natural" shamanic feeling.... you may puke, and need to understand this and have a mindset that can embrace/accept it.... you won't be having some steriotypical trip, you should be prepared to sit cross-legged and close your eyes in the woods.... also, don't burn anything down, but even without visuals, smoke is quite mesmirizing on LSA, I suggest burning sage.
