question about high-heels

I agree about heels looking pretty and making the legs look longer and sexier, but they are just so uncomfortable...I feel so self conscious every time I've worn high heels. I like the diea of being taller and looking sexier, but it's just not worth the hassle. After all I'm not that short (5'4") well, here in London I am.
I'd much rather wear platforms, that's what I'm talking about (not spice girls kind of platforms, just 1 inch of solid comfort)
